What is a friendship, Do we even know?
I think I do, So let me show....
Friendship starts as a bud, Just like an innocent rose.
Then it stems from your heart, With a strength you can't appose.
Friendship is like a storm, Washing away your tears.
It puts a light in your life, And helps dissolve your fears.
See....
A true and real friend, Is someone near, not far.
It's someone who accepts you, Just the way you are.
A true and real friend, Will never lead you astray.
When you start to walk in the wrong, They'll pull you back in their loving way.
A true and real friend, Is someone hard to find.
They'll support all you do, Just a simple step behind.
A true and real friend, Has encouraging words to say.
A gift of warming comfort, Like filtered sunlight on a cloudy day.
A true and real friend, Is like a roses' vine.
One wrapping around your soul, Making you feel special, complete, loved and whole.
If you ever find one, A true and real friend.
They will guide you along, Like moonlit clouds pushed by wind.
You better not open your hand, You better not let them go or flee.
