TRAVELIN' MAN
The travelin' man is back in town,
Longing for action and getting down
to all the things he missed when bound
by duty.
Demands are not a natural thing.
The heart needs dreams (as life needs spring)
and wanders to the zest and zing
of beauty.
The travelin' man is seldom still.
A rush confirms he owes the till.
He pays it with an honest bill,
not dimes.
A teasing breeze and passion's roar
are precious things he's heard before.
But love, is it worth aiming for?
Sometimes.
