Society drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!
by tarheel7676 at 1/16/2008 8:38:48 AM

What is wrong with the world today? Why has our society become so urbanized? Why is it offensive for a man to tell a woman she is beautiful or to call her ma’am? Why do some guys, not only in bars, but on the street call out to a cute girl with such quips as “Whaddup, shawty?” and “I want to hit dat!” To those to don’t understand, this translates to “how are you, shorter girl than I” and “I would really like to get into bed with you and have sex,” respectively. Doesn’t anyone else find this repulsive? How about this fact: these women talk to these guys, and most times accept dates, or actually sleep with these guys. These are the same guys who can’t even pick out a pair of jeans that fit properly and/or haven’t learned to wear a belt or a hat properly in twenty plus years of life. On top of all these factors, these women actually have the gall to complain when these men mistreat them, cheat on them, beat them, etc., and then complain to other women, men that are afraid to compliment them for fear of offending them, or talk shows about how “there are no good men left in the world.” I’m personally starting to think there are no good women left in the world if their judgment is this poor. Of course this is not true either. It is amazing that there have been so many civilizations in the world where arranged marriages were the norm, and it was never questioned. The people who were married dealt with those cards life dealt them, and lived with it without bringing society down with there troubles. Somewhere along the way, most of these peoples stopped with this practice with the idea that free will and a more civilized world makes one capable of determining their own mating partner. I wonder. One of the problems determining this is that our society has become so vain. How much money does it take to raise a family these days? More to the point, how much does one have to make to get a date? Of course that contradicts previous statements. Our society has obviously taken the sin of vanity and split it between each person’s ideals, such as whether they want to have a big house and raise a family in suburbia, or have the hip-hop image driving their life. So, what does it all come down to? Money? Is that what it takes to be happy in America, to find a woman who takes care of herself, and aims to please someone other than herself, to live a complete life? The answer is, of course, no, however at what point does one like myself just give up? People of the world want to be free, and in the freest country in the world, people are terrified of anyone who is truly free- free from the vanity that society pushes upon us. Now, that being said, do I want every woman in the world to be a non-showering dirty hippie type. Authors note: no offense to any “hippies” in the world- but really, are you really hippies or just dressing like one, therefore, shunning other people because of their obsession with fashion while actually obsessing over your own fashion to feel empowered to shun another- but I digress- where was I? Oh yeah, non-showering dirty hippies…no you should not turn into this. Taking care of oneself is essential if nothing more than for hygiene. But seriously, two hundred dollar shoes, that honestly, men secretly cannot stand? I know it is not for a man in which women dress, instead, ironically, for other women, who they usually hate at first sight as they feel threatened by this other woman, to show them that either their man or themselves, are monetarily fitted to afford said two hundred dollar shoes (I think I’m beginning to digress with each sentence now- my mind is flying all over the place- sorry ‘bout that). So what does it take to make a woman happy? Should all men turn into “gansta” wannabees, stand on corners, yelling and making obscene gestures towards women they find attractive? Maybe, it seems to work for them.
