| Getting to know who I am... by alludreemof at 2/19/2008 12:08:28 AM

It's impossible to write everything about your personality in one of those cramped up little profile boxes. So since I enjoy writing...thought I would do a series of blogs on my thoughts to bring you up to speed with who I am. That way you won't waste your time chatting with me if my personality clashes with yours.
First and foremost, I am not here to bed every fella that winks at me...nor give my number out to them. And I am definitely am not here to cyber, send nude pics or talk about my intermost sexual desires. I was raised in the south by a very old fashioned set of parents. They taught me to be a lady and once I left home I learned how when and where to use that in the proper fashion. That's not to say I am boring...far from it in fact. There are just certain values instilled in me that I embrace and refuse to let go of. In a nutshell...I have to take a relationship a step at a time.
It's so hard to find a person to share life with that wants to be your friend first. It's almost impossible to find someone who knows the true meaning of friendship. Honesty and loyality are hard to come by...and those are key factors to any relationship whether it be friends, family or a lover.
Family ties are very important to me. I was blessed with two wonderfully stable and responsible parents who paved the road to who I am today. I will be forever grateful for the love and guidance they gave me throughout my younger years.
The recent loss of my mother has left my family with a missing link...but I am determined to stand strong and fill that void as she did so many times with her tender compassionate persona.
I have nutured two stepsons and one daughter of my own into adulthood. I have one teenager left at home for a few more years and intend to give her my devotion till she leaves the nest. I'm proud to say they are all good natured, well rounded and very responsible young men and women. I am very proud of who they have become and are becoming as young adults. Maybe I brag a little here...but if you have had children you know how difficult it is to raise good level headed kids these days...but I am a stubborn woman and refuse to accept anything less from them.
Life has taken a huge turn for me and I find myself a tad bit scared but confident I will be able to tackle whatever comes my way.
My paw paw once told me 'If everything in life was easy, what would be the point of living it.' Makes alot of sense, but then he was the smartest fella I ever knew.
