| what am i doing wrong?

since i've been here in maryland, i have nothing but bad luck meeting guys around here. all they are into is getting into something that is meaningless and sexual. i would like something more than just a physical thing. I do admit that sex isn't a bad thing to go on, but when you come across someone you would like to get to know better; it's not mutual. would i have to go back to where i came from and let all the people know there that maryland is a bad choice ( if they just so happen to come up ), or should i grin and bear it and become the cold, calculating b*tch i use to be back in the day? i have no problem playing the "Samantha Jones" thing, and would find much gratification that way. but you know how carma goes, and i wouldn't want something to come back to bite me in the ass later on in life. So, if anyone out there who can empathize my point of view could give me some heads-up pointers; i would certainly appreciate it.
