that can bring one comfort.
Hot cinnamon toast on a wet and dreary morning.
The distant, but piercing sound of a passing trains whistle.
The sight of little redheaded wrens romping in the grass with their merry little chirps.
The clickety clacking sound of the dogs nails on the wooden floor as he wanders into the room.
The laughter of children playing with such abandon.
The gentle purring of the cat.
The ocean breeze with it's scent heavy with salt and marsh.
The sudden bright burst of a sunbeam that penetrates the storm ridden skies.
A smile from a stranger in passing.
A hello from a friend.
A single candle burning brightly in a darkened room.
Sometimes it's the smallest of things that can bring one comfort.
