Why do we create art? I dont know- theres certainly other ways to make a living. Perhaps being an artist and struggling year after year is the sign of a one track mind.
But I dont mind- I wouldn't have missed this for anything.
Just thinking of the next piece of artwork thats going to be so good makes it all worth while. So at the end of the day when you come in from the field or your studio and look at what you've completed,and after some quiet contemplation.. you know what you've done is good and its a good feeling.
So with its ups and downs thats the artists life and its a good life.
