| Our environment is suffering

Why is it even after imposing threats of fines etc. people are still trashing our environment with things that were once their treasures. I have participated in clean-up efforts and you would not believe what people have dumped or thrown from their cars. I drive around in a car that appears as though someone shook a dumpster out in it, because I will not participate in trashing our highways and waterways. What do you think?
