| Boy do I have a headache

It sure is a good thing I stopped wearing my glasses during belegarth, because yesterday I got hit in the eye twice! I also took a hard whack to my left temple, and one guy right at the beginning ran at me, jumped up, and brought his sword down right on top of my head…OUCH! The worst and scariest blow I took though was to my throat. Some guy wanted to reenact the death scene of Achilles’ cousin in the movie Troy, and swung sideways, cracking my right in the Adams apple. Lucky for me it didn’t break the cartilage, so I was able to continue fighting. I think the reason I took so many bad hits is that we had a lot of new people, which is a good thing. Two little ones showed up, too small to play with us, but they had fun with the little all foam weapons I brought for kids like them, so I’m glad I brought them. There were also two girls playing that I thoroughly enjoyed executing several times, and my aim is improving with my javelin when I’m not wearing my glasses. My sword cover started to come off again, so I am going to put a stop to that tonight once and for all. Can’t wait for next week.
