This weekend I really appreciated my kids. Friday night was carnival night for their school, so of course we went. High prices on everything but it was for a good cause. We got home around eleven. all week I pushed myself at work, to take advantage of the nice weather, skipped lunch a few days and stayed up late most nights working on job proposals. So, as Saturday dawned I felt awful, sore throat, chills, stomach ache, headache, etc... I got up made breakfast for the boys and went back to sleep, after telling them not to let anyone in. Got out of bed around one, we to a ride to the pharmacy to pick up cold tablets and get take out for lunch. once home the boys wanted to play outside, so I wrapped myself up in a blanket and kept them company for a while. At four I needed another nap, so I told the boys they could watch a video while I slept. I set the alarm for six thirty and fell in to one of those weird sleeps that you dream about things happening to you, like falling off cliffs, sinking in quicksand and such. My oldest boy comes in to wake me as the alarm is going off. When my little guy wanted more milk, he decided to get it himself, so I found a half gallon of milk all over my kitchen table. my older boy got more ketchup so he filled a bowl with it, the whole 32 ounce bottle. They tried their best to clean up their messes, which is all that counts. I'm going back to bed I'll let you know how we made it through Sunday another time.
