| My Mother's Day Revelation... by sitkarains at 5/12/2008 1:20:20 PM
As I sat out on the water yesterday, I had time to think, what a wonderful thing being alone with just your thoughts and a dog. I spent time reflecting on what really mattered to me. The following is one thing I would like to share with my friends.
Does it really matter what people think of you. When you know you are loved? How easy it is to jump to defend yourself when actually no defense is needed. Since each and every one of us (Can't walk on water unless it is frozen). People come in all walks of life, with all types of belief system, their own code of behavior, that is one of the things that makes this world such an interesting place to live. . So does it really matter what others think of you. Virtual Strangers, People you see in a grocery store. Or for that matter where ever. No it doesn't since everyone will form their own opinion for themselves. What matters is the love you have from friends and family, co-workers, etc
This is something I came up with, those that seek the admiration of all, will loose it all. Those that keep their hearts and mind clear will gain what is important to them. I am choosing to go with the latter. I am content. Amazing what a day on the water can do. So my dear friends out here and you all know who you are, thank you so much for keeping me strong, and for keeping me humble, encouraging me to continualy grow. As I continue down the path of life, hopefully I will continue to grow. I also hope and pray when it is all done and over with. My Lord will say to me. “Well done thy Servant.
I am also going to say how much I enjoyed all the warm Mother's Day wishes from friends. They meant the world to me. More than you can ever know.
I want to close with this quote. I think this sums up my Mother's Day Revelation pretty well.
For those who understand me, no explanation is needed. For those who don't understand, no explanation will suffice!
