Western KY. I came here in 1990. Took a college course for a CNA/Home Helath Care. Worked in the surrounding Nursing homes in the area, but soon knew I wanted to care for one on one.
I have lived in this home for almost ten yrs. I looked after, drove, shopped for an elderly gentleman. I lived his life. Took him to vacation spots in the winter time, driving I went to the Southern point in FL, New Orleans before Katrina, Texas, Mexico, Yellowstone Nat'l Park. I miss the travels. His last breath was January 1 2008. Just shy of his 98th birthday. He was still walking, knew the people who went to visit him, his time had just run out.
I am setting back reflecting towards my future. Wondering what may be.
