I was welding on the Discovery Museum in San Jose, CA when this was taken.
In my front yard in the spring under a HUGE weeping cherry treeTaken in spring 2007. A friend and I had a FUN evening celebrating her birthday!Jan with bass player Milt Hinton at the Los Angeles Classic Jazz Festival. I took photos of the whole festival for 3 days!
My former life - I was a high steel ironworker for over 25 years! This is me and my daughter (also a journey(wo)man ironworker on the ONLY job we ever worked on together - in San Jose, CA mid 1980's.This was taken in 1992... and with a little make-up and hair color, I would STILL look like this. Amazing what make-up artists can do...! I was STILL an ironworker/welder when this was taken! I helped build the Grant Hyatt and the new Airport on Maui! Before that, I was working in San Francisco area for 10 years.I was welding on the Discovery Museum in San Jose, CA when this was taken.My girl friends and I used to ride in parades all over eastern CA (Kit Carson Mountain Man Days, Rough & Ready Days, Camel Races, etc.) and set up an old-tyme photo booth and have a WONDERFUL time taking photos and getting PAID to have all that FUN!
Taken at a class reunion in June 2008... even the gals I graduated with said I STILL look the same... just lighter hair. I've been the same size since I was 15... I DO what I recommend for others (as a health coach - since 1968)!
