i am no longer in the military. the pictures you see are of me dressed in uniform, were taken while marching in the american legion color gaurd. im a vietnam veteran, and commander of the american legion.my bartenters, they are great kids and both in college. im the young, tall guy in the middle.

THE TITLE OF THE PICTURE. THE VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL.....OR BETTER KNOWN AS......THE WALL. IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY HEART AS WELL AS MY EYES TO THIS DAY EVERY TIME I LOOK AT IT, OR VISIT IT. IN 1980 I WALKED FROM HERE AT HOME TO WASHINGTON, D.C. TO RAISE MONEY AND AWARENESS TO HAVE IT BUILT.
i walked from home to washington, d.c. in 1981 to raise money and awareness for the building of the vietnam veterans memorial. 818 miles and 46 days, yes i made it lol, and raised $1 million dollars in cash and tv news coverage on the networks. google my name it will tell you about it. kim splain.
on my way to vegas. the picture of me returning, i was crying...lol.after the march in the st. pats day parade. im at the bottom left. the two women who march with us couldnt be with us that day. talk about a rowdy bunch, and the girls can hold thier own for sure.giving christmas gifts to veterans in the nursing homes. i lost this gentleman at the end of 2008, he was a 50 year member of my american legion and a great inspiration. love his beads, he wore them daily. about me, i was just recovering from a year long illness. im good now...lol.lets sit by a warm fire together and let it happen. the sun and moon in alaska.
