| I am really confused by this scammer, troll thing. What does that mean exactly. Who would send someone money that they met on the intenet. Is this someone who is pretending to be single or a different gender? What do people get out of doing that? I get messages from this creepy little dude all the time. His profile talks about how he is looking for long term commitment no one night stands please but he sends me these really sexually explicite pervy emails. I chuckle and delete them because he is a dork but I haven't ever responded in anyway. Is that a scammer? The only thing I think someone could do to really piss me off would be to mess up my computer. I haven't been doing this long though, seriously what could happen?

well the scammer is someone who gets you to like them and makes you think they are what you have been missing... but unfortumantely they can;t come to this country or fly to your location because they are short a few bucks and need you to send some money to help them get to you... 200 bucks should help cover the cost ( most are higher)...
there are a lot of people who are desparate to have someone around, so they don't die alone, especially as we get older... I have been hit 3 times with little scammers like that.
your perv guy hasn't asked you for any money or to buy annything has he? if not then he is not a scammer. In General, a scammer will make you feel like you are doing the right thing by contributing, or buying something that you really don't need... oh and you won't see the results from your paid funds.

| And don't send him any money because his daughter needs a brain operation and he can't get access to his credit card while he's in Africa, but will pay you back when he gets home.
And what about the guy who makes regular trips to "wherever" to buy gold and "jewellery".
I sent the one who needed money to get his building supplies out of customs my condolenses (after reporting him), but I'm still waiting for the one who sells cars and the one who sells large farm equipment to tell me how much he needs to have a large tractor shipped somewhere. These guys sure have a lot of trouble with the customs agents, don't they.
I think some of my "suitors" are lonely, but, I sure don't want any of these guys, before we've met, offering to move to someplace nearby so they can get to know me better...Now, I'm wondering if the guy on the oil rig with the 17 year old daughter AND the parrot, might just be an interesting adventure??? (Please don't take me seriously!)
Sincerely,
KK

| I have not had anyone asking me for money from this website (DHU), but I have from other websites...Who would be stupid enough to believe them ?
I have only ever given money to charities such as worldvision. I would never consider believing any personal sob story from an unknown individual that I have never met in person and who asked me for any money via internet.
But the African scammers recently advertised on TV make all black Africans look bad and this is unfortunate.
