| sit across from your date?
or next to him / her in a booth?
this was a subject my daughter and I shared.
I would rather sit across and look at who I am
talking to. My daughter says sitting next to him,
is romantic. What are your thoughts?

| Well, I guess it depends on if its our first date or not. First date, definately sit across, this way you can look at them while talking, and vice versa. Unless, of course its a double date, then you sit on the same side.

| Well I guess when I go out on that first date, I will know. But I think across from each other is easier so you can look at each other and not bump elbows. Could get alittle messy that way.

| Always across, even after we've been dating. But she usually ends up coming over to me... and it's like "damn, woman. Get away from me. I'm trying to eat here, not cuddle" lol.

| I think it depends upon the restaurant you're dining at. Whatever makes both of you feel more comfortable. If you're dining with another couple, same thing. I don't think there is really any right or wrong way. It's strictly a comfort thing, in the end.
Personally, more often than not, I'd prefer to sit across from my date. I like to look at him while we have a converation. It's nice holding hands across the table too, and playing footsie can also be fun!
