| For people like myself that wasn't aware of some rules...Guess I'll just have to check Dustin's list of rules on a weeky bases...To see if there are any new rules...
1. Does getting flagged or reported get me deleted or banned??
No, getting your profile or posts flagged simply informs moderators to take a closer look at the post and/or profile. If you were in fact violating the rules you may be suspended from the forums for 24 hours or possibly much much longer, depending on the offense. You can't get automatically deleted or banned by being reported you so don't worry about that.
- If you are going to post a new thread, please use correct spelling and try to make some sense. There is limited screen space. If the title of your thread doesn't make any sense or has misspellings it may be deleted. I'm not saying your post has to be perfect, but your title needs to be legible.
- Regarding content in your posts: Do not insert images that contain any nudity or near nudity. You will be immediately suspended, possibly deleted. Do not post anything that is patently offensive. Use common sense and common decency. We all know what the line is and when we cross it. Keep things rated PG-13, not X. And don't post anything illegal or promoting illegal activities.
- The only place where 'person above you' threads are allowed is the chat room and games forums.
- If one of your friends gets suspended, do NOT post a new thread saying how so and so is suspended. That will get deleted, and then you will probably be suspended too.
- Don't insert HTML that messes up the look of the forums. Also don't insert a billion images or videos, some people are on slow connections/computers and don't want to have to download a thread for 2 hours
Don't get mad if your post or thread was deleted. Don't post a new thread about why your thread was deleted. If your post was deleted it was because you violated the rules. If you get banned it was because you violated the rules.
Overall, just be nice to people. Treat everyone like you want to be treated. Ignore the troublemakers, they will be removed from the site eventually.

The above edit was by DH...So on 5/15/2008 a new rule was placed on the list..And I was to know this how...By breaking that very rule

| I find it interesting that DH executives and management set the rules yet don't seem to apply them to all here who post and start threads .
But ,they are the rulers of the rules and their decisions will make or break this site .
We've already seen the type of advertising they post that shows their character.
Find a date from China or Singapore ? What type of rating should we draw from that ?
Interesting, to say the least.

The breaking of this rule is the one that offends me the most. There are some posters on this site who constantly not only attempt to shove their opinions down the throats of almost all others, but they do so with such BLATENT disrespect and profanity, ongoing demeaning statements in almost every post, yet they still remain and even requests for respect go unheeded. Admin needs our cooperation in reporting these posts as inappropriate....In many cases, I find that it works...Don't forget to try it yourself.
Wherever people gather there are the haves and the have nots, whether that applies to money, education, brains, writing ability, intelligence and personality. I don't think this is too deep for any poster to understand. Yet, the constant comments in various threads, show me that people don't seem to heed the instructions about IGNORING THOSE POSTERS. It would be interesting to see if, by ignoring as instructed, actually works, and causes them to tire of the lack of attention. Who knows, it just might work.
I don't see anything unreasonable in the rules, and I don't seem to have a problem with them. I guess some people are badly in need of them.

| I think a few people tend to forget that this is a dating site and that the forums here are for seeking what one is looking for. If I posted nothing but nudes I'd surely get a lot of undesireables and that's not what I signed onto this site to begin with. I read threads and post to get more of idea of what that person is thinking. To see if he has the same views and interests as me. I watch how he deals with issues (drama) that appear in the threads. I'm sure that I am read in the same fashion.

| I agree the rules seem to be fair and just..and I am probably guilty of breaking a few , if not many of them. If I have offended anyone above and beyond the norm, I humbly apologize. I'm only human, occasionally I falter ..
But it also appears even the mods aren't following the rules ..they told us that when we get suspended..they will let us know exactly what we did wrong. That seemed to work for a week..but lately..they seem to be slipping..suspending people and not telling em what they did wrong..
Oh well..we get what we pay for at this site..and if you don't want to date married chicks..don't click on the ads that appear at the top of the forum pages..
