| I guess this is for those of you (us) who've been single and out of the "dating scene" for a while. This online dating thing gives us a chance to "meet" people we might not ordinarily meet, and that's a good thing when you aren't into the bar thing, or church thing. I guess I'm wondering if there are other people out there as afraid of getting back into dating as I find myself? I've met lots of nice people here, and write back and forth to several really nice ones.....but, what's the next step? What scares you the most about the "next step?"

| When I first started dating after 20 years of being with the same person, my first fear was...Okay, who the hell is going to be attracted to me at this age!! It's just a real fear that you have by being out of the game for so long. Then after meeting a bunch of people, and finding out there are plenty of people my age in the same boat, it wasn't so scary anymore. Now, I guess the scariest thing about dating is simply finding someone you can trust. That just takes time.
