| In my entire life,
I've been searching...
Deep down
In the darkness of my soul.
I thought I've found
My lover,
My best friend.
Too many tears flow
As my heart continuously aches,
For the person I wish you could
But never will be.
I turn to walk away
But by the time I say goodbye,
I yearn to feel the warmth of you in my arms
All over again.

| Though I came to you no longer
Young, my heart was young!
What did I know of love, until
we met, June 21, 2003? Love?
Love and I are strangers!
"There are only two emotions",
You said. "Love, and fear!"
And so I surrendered, jumped
Naked into the deep end,
Rode the horse of love bareback
Into thickets of briars,
Past dens of rattlers, unafraid!
I was a Panzer attack! Run!
A Kamakazi pilot with no wheels!
The covered wagon alone
On the Nebraska plains, no
Turning back!
But I was a fool, and so,
I drowned in the deep end,
Thrown by the horse of love,
Burned alive in my tank,
Smashed into the Pacific, and
Left my bones somewhere west
Of Omaha!

| Maybe for the better is my woos
As I can remember everything that was
Our love. Our passions. Our lows
Your heart always as the wind blows
Here there only pieces of a hole
To give to me one half your soul
So for you to say I am not the mold
In which you wish to make a hold
Ending Love Forever a statement made bold

| Rug Pulled Out From Under.....
Ball is in your court
Take a shot, write a letter,
Write a poem, write an email,
Don't drop the ball
Ball is in your court
Shoot, don't have to schore,
Stay in the relationship, just
take a shot, call her,
go see her face to face
Don't drop the ball
Ball is in your court
Dribble down, take a shot
Send flowers, explain,
Don't drop the ball
Ball is in your court
If you don't take a shot
You'll pull the rug right
out from under her
Don't drop the ball.......

| Luck and love may seem at odds,
But what are the chances?
I think we make our own luck,
And yet around every corner
Lies a hundred dollar bill,
Or a banana peel!
Feel rich, or slip and fall,
And if we fall, what then?
So long as you are there
To pick me up and kiss
The bruises, I'd still
Feel a lucky woman.

| Quiet Emotions
I always wanted more from you
than you were willing to give;
So now we've gone our separate ways
each with different lives to live.
The bond will always be there
the friendship always intact;
But the time for us has come and gone
and the pages of time, you can't turn back.
I will always be a friend to you
and wonder how you are;
The smiles and laughter I will remember
and our absence have become a painless scar.
Sometimes on those busy days
when you've a thousand things to do;
Please let me glide slowly through your mind
and spend some time with you.
In that quiet moment
when you're surprised to find me there;
Just remember even with the distance between us
I am still someone who cares.
Written by myself,
Marilyn

| Tis Art
The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the Ntent
2B lost, that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost keys, an hour poorly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing further, losing faster:
places, names, and where it was U meant 2B.
None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my kitties 2 my ex. Look! my last, or
next-to-last, a Bloved home was next 2 go.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
I've lost my youth, some realms I owned.
A continent or 2, I've missed. And, vaster,
Bloved ones that have gone B4,
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.
---Then losing you, your laughter, touch and gestures which I love.
I shan't lie. It's evident, the art of losing is harder to master....
it feels strangely like disaster.

| My hearts bleeding
My eyes are watering
my lips are dry
As we say our goodbye
I hate to see him walk away
the skies turned gray,
And my love for life began
to fade
My chin hung low, my face was
now sour not sweet
There was no happy cheer or
ringing in with a beer
My hearts bleeding
my eyes are watering
my lips are dry
As we say our goodbye

| Love yours, lovenlaughter. The repetition makes it so much like a ghazal, but something wholly new besides.

| Loss is gain... Disaster is rebirth... pairs of opposites only exist in our mind...nature is self-righting and all roads lead to the divine if you know how to read the signs.

| Love knows that you exist and cares for your existence.
Timeless spirit can touch you in this world of time.
With a new birth of heart you will see a new world.
Love is never old but renews itself with every lover.
Flesh and spirit can share in the same delights.
All people are innocent in the light of love.

| We are timeless spirits living in this world of time. Time is here to wake us up to that fact. Path of heart is what the future holds for all of us. Heart thinking is still evolving while head thinking is waning. When lovers can put the heart(soul) polarities together in the correct manner, timeless love between timeless spirit occurs. An "initiation" of sorts. Of course this is all only my opinion and like a**holes we all have one dont we.

| The first thing I loved about you was your voice
Telling me that I was such a Marvelous Woman
And I was Beautiful
And you had waited for Me all of your life
The last thing that I Hated about you
Was your criticism
You showed such a Negative Spirit
Your voice changed and I thought
You Had changed
But you only took off your Mask
Funny how that happens
