Jewelz, You said they ate the forbidden fruit, but the only forbidden fruit, is the fruit of life and death, which God MAKES forbidden after ADam and EVE ate the " fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is describing the birth of their self awareness. which is why they are only named, after they become aware of themselves, and eat the fruit, and also why, when we are told about this, God finds them ashamed of their nakedness, which they had never been before, because before they became adam and eve they were unaware of themselves as different from the others.
When Cain kills ABle God sends him to the land of Nod to find a wife. He is essentiially telling him to reproduce with a woman that is NOT self aware, no ego, It is basically telling him, you behave like an animal so go procreate with an animal, because before humans ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they were like the animals.
When Eve is created, ADam goes into a LONG sleep, This is a decsription of the state we are in before we become autonomous beings, nearly every toddler goes through this transition.
Genesis talks about there being males and females before , there is any land or plants as well, therefore they must have existed in water, but we knew that anyway.
and it happens to be compatible with all of the other relligious books.

I watched the movie The Great Debaters recently,( pretty good until they used Hitler and Ghandi in an argument in 1935)
but One thing they said in that movie ranf especially true, I have no opponent, No opponent exists, only the truth exists, and it cannot be defeated, so all One has to do, is say the truth. the Truth stands on it's own.
I have to crack up at the idiots that think they need a church to tell them what is right or wrong???? They are in Hell already, with NO free will apparently.

Funny, I was just reading in another thread an argument about grace, some peoples kids huh?
grace is the unconditional Love that God has for his creations, when someone sins, to the point where they are consumed with sin, God ( Goodness) is edged out, because it cannot exist where there is pursuit of Sin.
I think alot of people misinterpret the judgment as like our physical worldy court judgments, God doesn't sit in judgment of anyone, their actions either embrace God, or reject God. How much God is in your life, is up to you, I think when we die If our soul is in a state of grace, which is spirit in concert with God, then you are judged as soul full, IF you die in a state of sin, you are judged lacking therefore Gods presence ( goods presence,) will be as limited to you, as you intended by your desires and actions, this is what Jesus meant when he said be ever ready, it is the message of the ten virgins, and the message behind all of the be prepared stuff.
I think the state of the soul is sort of like when you are pouring back and forth 2 pitchers of liquid, with the liquid being Goodness, and the action of the pouring being the decisions one makes day in and day out in life . If death is the stopping of the action, whichever pitcher has more goodness in it, is sort of like a person that is in varied prepared state, If you die while you are actively seeking sinful behavior, your soul will be less full and therefore less in presence with God.

| I think that is pretty true what you said of all people in all religions. I dont know if the creating part of it is right or not. I definitly dont think of the bible as a book of science. I think of it as a book of basic principals to reach a state of well being even though it is alittle outdated. Dont get me wrong all the scientific theories of our origins are almost as far fetched as the religious views. I think the fact is that no one knows and there is almost no evidence of it at all. All i know is that all of the worst evil in the world has come from spiritual leaders leading people in their own way and beliefs. All of the crusades were the bloodiest battles in history with promise of heaven for murdering and killing. Pretty weird and curupt if you ask me. I personally think that man without sin is not human for there is no good with out evil or evil without good. They are of the same, a man can be good his whole life and then do one wrong thing, one mistake and be evil. I think that every one has the potential of good and evil and that we act apon them accordingly depending on the situation that we face. I also think that the im holier than thou game that alot of religios people practice is what drives good people to do bad things. I know i have done bad things in my life but every bad desision and mistake i have made has led me to be stronger. To really know myself, my stregths and weaknesses. To know first hand what i like and dont like. To know why i dont like something or why i choose not to do something anymore, not because someone scared me into thinking i shouldnt but because through trial and error i learned a lesson that could not be taught by words or advice but only from personally doing it and seeing for myself.

The Bible does NOT contradict evolution in any way, in fact it supports it.
another book you might find interesting is A new earth by Eckhart Tolle. read that book, then read the New Testament again, and I bet you get an entirely different message from it. The problem is the hypocrites that you are taslking about usually interpret the Bible from an egoic state, they are only reading it because they are afraid, or want. either they are afraid of hell, or they want heaven, or they want to be seen doing good, Jesus tells you that IF that is the case, you have already received your reward, in other words, you cannot acheive a spiritual heaven if you are fearlful or wanting, It comes when you recognize, that right thinking, and goodness, is all that is really important, and you desire only what is good and right.
too many people have made things like sex seem bad, so when people have physical desires they think THEY are bad, but IF you are having sex because it happened naturally between 2 people, and you are doing it only to share the Love and experience the joy of beigng together, THAT is NOT sinful.
now of course if it hurts other people, It can be a sin , but because it causes others to sin, not because the act of sex is a sin within itself.
does that make sense? another example where a misinterpretation occurred, is drinking and or drugs. It isn't wrong until it leads you to do something that causes suffering to yourself or another. they drank all of the time, they had to, their water was gross, wine was the water of today, but being drunk puts you in a state of physical confusion, so you cannot stay spiritually seeking if you are drunk. but the drinking isn't a sin.
Jesus says what goes into your body doesn't make you unclean, what comes out of it does. and by that he means you arctions are sinful if they are not right, nothing you eat or drink is sinful, or screw, neccesarily is sinful, but they all CAN be.

Yes, we all do, That is what makes it difficult, IT is the power of sin, It feels good. but the problem with sin, is it causes problems and it is a fleeting event with major consequences that cause suffering. so while it feels great at the minute, it inevitably brings misery shortly behind it.

| No i have not gotten the chance to read the tao yet, but you are not the first to recommend it to me. A couple of people have told me i should check it out but i havent gotten around to it yet. I am not a big fan of religion at all, there are some parts of all religions that i like, the basic messages that seem to get lost in translation. But they have have all spun off on there own who is the most right and wrong quest and there sheep of mindless stupid followers eritate me to the point where i would rather get shot in the knee then go to church and listen to them teach and preach fear in to my life. As a man i have spent my life as most men do overcoming there fear and trying to get to point where i can rationally think about anything without getting freaked out or scared. I personally think that the only religion that is staying true to its message is budhism. They are the only ones that seem to have a sense of true spiritualality in them. Although i dont believe in some of there basic rules i definitly think they are on a more correct path then christianity, which by the way has a long history of convert or die in its past. We all forget that all of the modern day christian churches and all its spin offs like babtist, protistants and so on all broke off of the most corrupt church ever the roman catholic church. The muslims and jews will probally fight over their holy land for the next thousand years not practicing nothing that the bible says while all in all think they are going to heaven for killing for a peace of land. But regardless of how life got here whether it was divine creation, evolution from ameobas, or a lab project from some ancient distant civilization, all i can say is that humanity is destined to destoy itself soon or later. We are the only thing on this planet that can not co-exist with others or live in harmony with the natural ecosystem , hell we cant even live without a cell phone anymore, lol. which is why i want to save up and move to alska and get away from all these dumb a** people so caught up in their meaningless drama of a life and get out in the mountains, lol.
