feeling like its almost time to pull up stakes and move on, after a year and not one single date!
let alone trying to find a life time partner. tired of all the bs on here, the liars, and noone seems to want to get along anymore.
i loved this site when i first got on here, and now whats the point
PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET THIS IS A DATING SITE, THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE NAME TO LETS SEE WHO WE CAN PICK ON TONIGHT!

| I am new here so I am still hopeful.
However, in my little time here; I have learned that there is just as much deceit with an on line dating service as there is at the bar scene. It is sad but I am trying to remain optimistic.
Don't give up hope.

| Well, I have had horrible luck so far with online dating. Mostly because who people say they are online is not the same as who they are in person. I don't think I'm too picky, or a jerk. I am a decent guy, really. So good luck to you!

I get that with some women on here also.They don't mention their hang ups or issues on their profile.its like they know they act weird and they hide it.I wonder why?

| I have had no luck myself, and in my profile it exactly states what i am looking for, so does that mean, there are no good men left? Does it mean that there are only bad men left? Does it mean that a bad man does not want a good girl anymore? Go ahead, I dare ya, go look at my profile....okay so whats wrong with it? Why doesn't a decent guy want a decent girl? Maybe its because they just want a fling on the side for now, and they dont want to admit to it, and they want their profile to stay as is...end of story....

| But then again, maybe...JUST MAYBE...the one you seek has been through much of the same thing...and the ultimate doomsday device...distance...is used again and again on him...some after lengthy discussions about a great many things...and yet..he's a nice guy, respectful, playful, not hollywood hot, but his face doesnt curdle milk or scare children...
And yet he isnt any further along than when he started...some might say he has even stepped backward some, just because of his lack of...what? success? How do you measure success? (has he met someone and fallen in love? no...? well then...)
So there may be decent guys out there, dear. some may not be in your age group..some may not live in your region...and some may just have had enough and would prefer to see your profile, or your pic now and then and wonder...
Just a thought..

YOU'RE problem is YOU'RE a DRAMA QUEEN! SORRY and i don't say that to hurt or offend you, BUT it's the truth!
I'm not saying that there isn't any good ones, i have talked to alot of GOOD ones on here, but they are either TAKEN or for whatever reason are not interested.
maybe mine is just not on DH, but infact somewhere else just waiting!
Mara-i consider myself a good girl but with a touch of wild on the side! does that make me so bad??????

| well, I've seen a lot of people on here complain of the distance issue - which you brought up. that's probably half your problem even though you listed it the last remaining one. It may not help that you live in Indiana, as I haven't seen many people from that area on here, but don't give up!
also, if you haven't done so, check google for a dating site for your specific town or nearest major city. from what I've seen pretty much all cities have one now, so that may help. you can usually set the search filter for "within X miles of 'your town'".
one final note: I've seen plenty of people on this site mention they get more conversation than actual dates, etc. while that may not be a great thing for most I guess it's something. perhaps people get jaded or tired of the b.s. they've dealt with from people they've met on the site and have given up.  that part's just speculation, though. I remain hopeful that when I put the time into it I'll get something out of this site besides forum convo.
