| I loved that he gave the world his own flavor of comedy with tenacity and completely without apologies. He didn't care if you loved him or hated him, he just told it the way he wanted to.

| I saw George at the Fox theater in St. Louis back in 86'. Never enjoyed a comedian as much as him. His play on words and phrases were fantastic. He will be missed by me, thats for sure!

| George "created" his own style. I'd read that at one point he tried the "traditional" type of comedy, and it just didn't work for him. He was the first Host of the Saturday Night Live show that so many of us watched lol. Sometimes you would blink twice at some of the ways he viewed things, and the way he presented it to the public, but you had to respect the guy for putting himself out there no matter what he thought and sticking to his guns. I will miss the interesting way he viewed life and the passionate way he presented it! lol
