Many may not know this but you can have a dual boot system with XP and Vista.

Here's the trick:

On your initial install of XP create a second partition PRIOR to choosing to install XP.

Install XP as you would normally.

Upon completion, install reboot and choose to boot from CD once again with The Vista CD in the drive.

Install Vista.

Now for the trick after vista is installed you're going ot have to reboot to the CD rom again and put your XP CD in the drive.

When you get to the point where XP asks to install choose repair and then reboot.

You "Should" get a dual boot screen the next time you boot with an option window stating Windows Vista or Previous version of Windows.

If anyone out there knows any other tricks regarding this feel free to chime in!

Virtual machine would be better. Install XP then dedicate "ALL" your resources to Vista, and when you realize you made a horrible mistake, you can just delete the VM and not even have to reinstall XP.

Great idea...but. As an avid pc user and junkie I have to say that Vista Ult. hasn't done me wrong thus far. Granted I don't run the standard spec PC out there but hey, it's working. Don't get me wrong I still think the bulkiness of Vista will have XP as the preferred OS (out side of Linux or Mac) for some time.

Thx for the suggestion tho.
