Have you ever just looked at somebody on this site and said WOW!! ? And then read their profile and it was like if somebody asked you to write down who your perfect mate would be? Not just the looks but it is deeper, when you read the profile and you sit back and wonder where has this person been all my life? and remember you never have met this person or even talked to them ever and they live in another state. I sent this person an email but i most likely sounded like a weirdo/stalker type. Its really hard to explain.
Has anyone ever experienced this not just here but any walk of life? What do you do?
I NEVER had this experience before.

Yep, a couple times... I felt the same way as you about sending an email, as I usually never initialte contact with someone. It doesn't seem that the feeling is mutual, though. I've found, throughout the years, that if I'm the one to initiate interest or contact, it NEVER works, they never feel the same way...which really sucks!

Hope it works for you!!

I perceive a person on how they write in the forums. A profile is just a small piece of who they are. Tho there are some who do not post in the forums and I have to do a lot of analyzing from scratch

I agree with Chopper...and to many times the profile was not totally accurate. You start conversing and you realize they are not what you thought they were. What people post, including my own, do help determine alot about the person. Some are here for entertainment, some for friends, some to bully and pick, some just to have fun and some for simply finding sexual pleasure.I feel not all that many are truly interested in dating...that's my experience. For me, I am here to find a potential partner, without much success.

So just be careful, but do not hesitate to contact her. You may allow your fears to make you miss a great opportunity. You will not know until you try!

Good Luck!

Yes. I read a profile last night and it was like everything that was important to him was important to me. I see him all the time in the forums and didn't realize we had such similar values. No way I sent the email though

Dear Prow:

Yes, I've had that happen, too. There's no way for us to know what you said in your email to her, but I can describe my reactions to emails. I often get emails that really do start with WOW...they continue with gushing remarks that are MUCH too strong for a beginning introduction. Are they scammers? Players? or maybe over emotional? Who knows?
But, I step back and stay away.

If I may suggest, when you see something exciting in a lady's profile...yes, send her an email (much better than a wink if you're REALLY interested). Make sure she's looking for your age bracket, hasn't mentioned not being interested in someone who has a child in his life regularly...(Some ladies don't want this) And, don't GUSH!. Say you saw their profile, liked it, saw some interests in common, invite them to read yours and then, if they feel they would like to, get in touch with you so you both can get acquainted....
It's really simple. I have done this, and I have also been turned down...That's ok. I say to them, "If my age or the distance is not for you, you can tell me. I'm a big girl. I'd rather you tell me than not reply at all.

You must be prepared to accept if they say no...or do not get back to you. TRUST ME a lady who is interested will get back to you, probably within a couple of days, depending upon when she reads the mail. DO NOT KEEP AFTER HER....that makes her think you're needy.

Now, please know that this info is not only for YOU...it can apply to any man contacting a lady on here...but, You are the one who asked.

I hope my personal experience has been helpful to you.

Sincerely,
Knittin Kitten.
