JuSt curious...
I was reading another thread and this thought came to mind. 
When do you think you should have sex with someone
that you are seeing/dating??? After you have sex with them, would
you be exclusive or not? or would you be exclusive before the sex?
How long is too long, to WAIT?????

| i think when you start haveing sex with someone your interested in it should be exclusive at that point, and if its not so then you best explain that up front.

| Depends on the people involved. imo younger people should wait longer for various reasons. Once you are emotionally mature (if that's the right word) enough to accept sex for what it is - Know the difference between sex and lovemaking, maybe?... Then it makes sense to get it on 'til the break of dawn if you both want to, without getting all twisted up about it.
I was in a LDR for a while once with a gorgeous woman from Toronto (3 hours away). I met her for dinner at her end, then for the second date she drove down to see me for an evening. We were supposed to be going to the theatre, but we never made it... 
I remember her saying something like "I don't have sex, I make love!" I honestly don't know what that meant to her - I didn't have any illusions that either of us were in love that early on. I was thinking "OK, you make love, I'm having sex!" I successfully kept that to my internal voice though. 
She also teased me about how fast I got her out of her clothes - Apparently she was wearing expensive undies and I was supposed to compliment her on them or something. But I've never been one to focus on the wrapping - I'm all about the present inside!

| I don't think that as mature adults that a "set" length of times or number of dates is very helpful, although I would have to agree about the first date rule. Also, if you are not exclusive already by the first time you have sex (and you should be), then defintely afterwards.

I agree with apfok 100%! Although I'm already exclusive with a guy when we've had, I'd say at least 4 dates. If I've seen a guy that many times, then I'm obviously very interested in him. I'm a one man - woman, kind of woman!!!

| At this point in my life I would have to be in an exclusive relationship with someone first, and I would take my time getting to know someone. Whether that be a month or 6 months, because everyone is different.

| For each person it is different. I want to know that a man is in it for the long haul and not for a booty call. If I wanted to be a booty call I can go to the local bar. Online, for someone to travel long distance for a booty call has to be rolling in the dough or just plain stupid. Haven't met anyone rolling in the dough nor stupid so all is good.
