| I'm sure all of you that have little children are aware that effective July 1,2008 a new booster seat law goes into effect in the State of Michigan. Spoke with a Plymouth police officer and was told that the ticket for noncompliance to the law is $165.00. Just thought I would pass that along to those that it concerns

| Sounds like good news for seat manufactures and more ticket opportunities.

| just another way for michigan to slap it's residents in the face and leave a big bruise. now people have to take money from their expensive a** gas budget to buy booster seats for kids who don't even need them.

| Yup another way for them to dip into our wallets...The whole idea I am told is so that the seat belt fits them properly. My truck has adjustable seat belts on the rear seats (you can raise or lower them as needed) I had the belts lower so that they fit the children perfectly...guess what add a booster seat and I had to raise the belts up to fit properly. Makes absolutely no sense.

| i think its more of a pain in the arz, my daughter stays in her seat with the buckle on at all times, the booster seat i have is just sort of a nuisance...however she is 5 and 42 lbs and like 42 inches tall...so its a pain having a string bean for a child as well
