| I have noticed that when quoting someone you can edit their quote or change a word during editing. Like change "man" to "woman"......I don't think people should be able to edit a quote....jmo

you are so right.....i have seen some pretty nasty words get changed around. I know that if I saw someone change my quote to be malicious, I would be raising hell. I think this issue has been metioned several times and I would like to see it changed as well.

| problem is since you can add "quote" to anything, if you were to make editing quotes impossible, it would also remove the ability to make quotes without using the button
also some people only want to quote part of a post, not the entire thing
very true....something I just did in my last post. .....so what to do? Punish the "poster" perhaps?

Yes, it's pretty juvenile to edit like that but it's pretty plain to see. I've had a quote edited. I simply pointed out the edit, laughed at the one who posted it, and asked if he had to use both his brain cells to do it. He didn't do it again. But, if he did, I think I could handle it.
I like being able to underline, italicize, or copy multiple quotes to use in a single post. I underlined a part of the OP's post, and added an extra blank line, just to illustrate that editing can be done in a positive way to indicate which part of the post you're responding to. I respect those who posted here; I just think editing can be done in a positive way and the people in the forums can deal with the idiots. JMO
