But everyone who attends one of these churches considers themselves a christian. How can you be so sure that your interpretation is correct?

| I know many active Unitarians who would say that they are not at all Christian, and indeed Unitarian Universalists attract Christian, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, agnostics and atheists. They all get along very well. Some remain affiliated with their original religions, others pretty much abandon the religions of their youth and join more fully into the non-dogmatic and very appealing beliefs of the UUs.
On the other hand, the Latter Day Saints -- the Mormons -- would be indignant not to be included in the list of Christian demoninations, for they surely believe in Jesus.

Thanks for posting this, Scorpio. If we accept the definition of 'cult' as given here, then it seems that Christianity itself must be a cult, as it has elevated Jesus to the place between humankind and God, and asserts that salvation is only possible through Jesus and his teachings.
Christianity as a whole, as a cult....
It makes sense.
So the goal remains to have a direct relationship with God, but without any of these cultish intermediaries.

I agree, I have friends that are Quakers and attend the UU church. If I was to belong to a church it would probably be this one because it is inclusive rather than exclusive.

| I have to agree with the guy who post that the list is way off because their are cults on that list. This list is long yet not extensive, those who would be interested in finding the cults on that list, just start at the biginning of the list and work your way down to the end of the list.For all the names on the list are cults.
Some of your most popular cults are Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, JW'S,SDA, Presbyterian,Anglicans, Episcopelian,Mormons etc.All of these cults and then more believe in a cult doctrine called tritheism, '' three gods''.The cults deny this fact by calling each of their gods seperate persons.Most of these cults celebrate heathen and pagan holidays.
I hope that thi shas been helpful for those on here that may be seeking truth.
