“The Man I’m Waiting For.”

Have you ever had someone to touch your soul?
Feel within your Spirit, who wouldn’t let you go?

The tingle of their touch resonating in your cells?
The closeness of their body, your senses heightened with their smell?

You take a vacation for a moment and get lost in their eyes?
Knowing in their heart is where your love lies?

Have you ever felt your body floating from the wind in their wings?
Knowing their an Angel, makes your voice sing?

Have you ever thought of peace and they came to your mind?
Have you ever thought of their “best side” and visioned their behind?

Does the thought of kissing them, make you close your eyes and wait?
Does the warmth of their embrace, leave you holding on to fate?

Can you ever just imagine how long you’d have to wait?
Just to be in their arms and being on a date?

Do you whisper to the Heavens, “Lord, I love him, so!”
Waiting for an answer, so your love you can let go.

Have you ever wanted someone so badly, time just stood still?
Thinking of being with him for life, gave you a chill?

Do you think, ‘He loves me, too’ and I want the world to know?
Or, is your heart slowly beating, waiting for his love to show?

Are you in that stage of “God’s time” where your patience is wearing thin?
Do you long to hear your phone ring, just to get a call from him?

Does your patience turn to frustration while you sit and wait?
Do you feel you have a better chance at seeing the “Pearly Gates”?

Does the man in your heart make you want to just jump in;
Dive in with both feet, whether you sink or swim?

Can you control your emotions when you answer your door?
Or is this just the moment your heart is waiting for?

When he arrives and finally you seal your fate.
Would he make you wait forever, and then it is too late?

Will your world finally stop, before the wait is through?
Do you even know if he, is in love with you, too?

Can you ever stop to ponder the how come and the why?
If he decides to leave you, will he at least kiss you goodbye?

How will the story go when all is said and done?
Will he still be running from you or be in your arms when the day is done?

Does your imagination, just get the best of you?
Will you read his love notes to see that he loves you, too?

Does all this thinking and questioning make you crazy at it’s best?
Will his and your love ever pass the test?

I guess we’ll never know, until he knocks upon the door.
He knows in his heart, he’s the man I’m waiting for!
