Have any of you been approached by a man who claims he is a doctor and he is living in Florida and is a widow because his wife and 5 yr. old daughter were in a car accident. He claims to be retired, but travels to Gauna to buy gold. He is quite persistant in his attempts to contact me. Just wondering if any of you have experienced this man. thanks

Not personally had any contact with him but sure sounds like yet another scammer. Have not seen any here lately, must be time for them to try it again!

I haven't run into anyone like that, but it doesn't sound legitimate. I see red flags blowing in the breeze!

Scorpio....YES!

BLock him dear and now. He is a scammer. Just fell in love with you (me). Was praying to God for the perfect woman. Just go on this site, so he said, but not,

buys gold and has a plantation over there.

I have an email and his name, I think I still have them, maybe not a real name.

A lot of ladies have lost a lot of money to these bastards. He will want to give you a big monsy order, then ask you send send him some of it back. 3 or 4 months later you will find out the money order or western union gram is counterfit. Because I sell on the internet, I have a stack of them. I have even been sent GOOD checks that were stolen money from some ladies account. I always catch these & have never cashed one.
Some of them even have a real US address.
Please. Before you get cought. Go to the FBI internet scam site.

This sounds like a similar person that emailed me on a Catholic dating web site. He was heartbroken from the loss of his wife and daughter due to a horrible car accident, and he had to travel to England on business but left his boys on some other continent, and the more he talked the more his story sounded weird. I'd guess to say that he was not listening in class back when Sister Mary Gerald taught us about what happens to people who tell lies. I'd say beware of him.

Scorpio yes - he is very persistent but in blocking him he just dissappeared- amazing how that worked so well for me

I also reported him and posted some info in the Women's thread without naming. There seems to be so many on here with the same MO and different nicks. Just report, block and be happy

Yeap - and the scammers are getting smarter and are using profiles that seem real. I played with one for about 30 minutes the other day. He said he was in Ohio but didn't know anything about it. They are branching out on the states - that's only the second one I have gotten from somebody who said they lived in Ohio. Aside from not knowing anything about Ohio; I asked him why he couldn't speak good English if he had lived in Ohio all his life!
