| I don't care if you are a Minnesota fan, Favre going to the Vikings would be the equivalent of Mickey Mantle playing for the Red Sox or Larry Bird being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. A switch of such a high profile, dare I say historic, player to a archrival team has not occured in any sport as far back as I can remember. The closest thing I can think of is Ruth being traded to the Yankees, and that trade CREATED one of the greatest rivalries in sports. Imagining Favre in purple makes my flesh crawl and would be a disrespect to Packers fans, it would hurt Favre's legacy, and would once more hammer home the clear message that loyalty no longer play's a role in sports.

It would show that the Packers aren't loyal to either Brett Favre or their fans.
The Packers MUST name Favre their starting quarterback. If they don't Rodgers will hear boos all year long.
