Reading comprehension people! Here is how you do it. Click on a member's nickname who is online. Once you go to their profile look in the upper right hand portion of their profile and you'll see their online status and a blinking text bubble. Click on that icon and you should get a popup window that will start your chat session.

Samantha, when you see someone is on line go to their profile, in the upper right hand corner you will see a box with a clicking white dot. Click on the dot you will get a chat box and they will receive a message that you are requesting to chat with them. Hope this helps
