| I was wondering how many others come across people who make up many different profiles and stalk other people? Are they really that lonely. It is so sad i feel so sorry for them. Has anyone else met anyone like this?

| I would imagine if people are petty enough to create multiple profiles and pose as other people, they are most likely not to have many friends, or any relationships outside of Cyberspace.
Don't even give them a moment's thought.

| They may be trying to check people out...sort of find out if WE always say the same things. Also, some people when they get found out, have to leave and then return as someone else.

| Having a backgroundin computer network and internet security, I have attended several seminars which have addressed the mindset of the computer stalker, which includes, in part, the neccessity of some to create multiple profiles. In many cases, the people who create multiple profiles, aliases, or however they are manifested are often people suffering from various personality maladies. These include, but are not limited to, people with self-esteem issues, people who have inherent control issues, people with oppressed and/or abuse backgrounds, just to name a few. Many of these people feel they are "getting back" subliminally by attempting to persecute, antagonize, or otherwise intimidate others so as to in a perverse way make them feel better about themselves. It is estimated that approximately 65% of people who employ multiple profiles sunscribe to this general profile, although a smaller percentage do so just as an abstract way to entertain themselves. Or, in simpler terms as Libra accurately pointed out, they are chickenshits!

| There's a few of those losers we've all come to know and despise who periodically show their sorry asses on here, only to get run off from here over and over.

| it isnt the moderator that forms a group of a**holes to chase off members. the mods just suspend people. thats not the same as chasing people away.

| Fairly new to this sites forums and I keep finding the basic problem - this very topic. I don't understand the problem, haven't found it on any other thread like I have here and it's kind of a put off. I have had the stalking problem - thus no posted public pict. But the mob mentality that comes out in alot of these threads is pretty wild. I keep asking myself - is this really a dating site or what?
