God bless, PS I know Kay Arthur, and what I believe she is no counterfeit christian. The others mentioned, no opinion, don't know them. denise

PS I got it off a news forum Ive been a member of for 4 years.

Beth forwarded this to me. If any of you know anything about Spiritual warfare this is it!

Dear Ones,

On June 27th and 28th I attended a conference in Atlanta called “Deeper Still.” Internationally known speakers Kay Arthur, Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer were there and I looked forward to a special time of worship and having God convict me of my sins and lead me to areas in my life where I need to change. I have been to similar conferences for years, although none this large and with so many well-known speakers. There were over 20,000 women in attendance at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta- they said it was the largest crowd ever. I had an idea of what to expect from the conference, but nothing prepared me for what actually happened. I feel led to share my experience with family and friends. This is important, so stay with me!

When Kay Arthur took the stage you could just tell that her spirit was heavy and there was a certain “heaviness” in the atmosphere even before she started to speak.

She said that she had been literally physically sick to have to bring us this message and right out the gate she said, We are in grave danger.” She said that God had revealed to her that a literal famine is coming to America. Physical, not spiritual. She said that God is moving in judgment against our nation. I know I can’t describe this well enough, but the atmosphere was ominous. Kay is a seasoned speaker and she had to BATTLE to get through her message. She stumbled over scriptures and had an extremely difficult time. At times I was almost expecting her to collapse. At one point she just had to stop and pray. There was no person, myself included, that I could see who did not have tears streaming down their faces. As you may know, Kay Arthur is normally a very confident, composed speaker, but she was literally in a spiritual battle and it was taking place right before my eyes. I have never seen anything like it. She went on to give 7 things that Christians must do during this time and I am going to give those to you now:

1. Jer 4:3- Break up the fallow ground- return to Me. Repent. Get on your face before God and ask him to break your heart with the things that break His heart.

2. Mourn- Jer. 9:17-18 and Ezekial 9. It is time to weep because our nation’s sin is incredible.

3. Pray- Jer 36:7- Pray fervently, passionately for America.

4. Love God’s Word- Jer. 20. You MUST love the Word of God and be in the Word of God. I was particularly convicted here because I know I have not been as deeply in His Word as I need to be. She said we must get serious about this.

5. Love others as Jesus loved them. Jer. 31:3 and John 13:34.

6. Introduce people to Jesus Christ. It’s time to get serious about this. This is no time for timidity. Jer. 31:31; Jer. 33:1-9 and 15 and 17.

7. Rest. If you will do these things, then rest in the fact that you have done God’s will. She said that it is going to be vitally important for us to get enough physical rest. She went on to say that God has not given us a spirit of fear and that if we are obedient to Him, we will be protected.

She said to read Ezekial 14 over and over until you understand it. This is what God will do if a country turns against Him. She said that this is going to be a calamity ( she used the word calamity in such a way that you knew this is going to be no small thing) for our country, and gave many more scripture references, but what I have given you are the main points that she made. I hope you know that I would not have sent this to you if I had not been profoundly affected by it and feel it is of great importance to share it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you will do with this information what you feel led by God to do.

Love in Christ Jesus,

I do not know this person and can only say there is only one Biblical way to judge and that is to sit and wait to see if that happens.

The seven things listed should be done whether a famine is coming or not.

Interested to see what happens.

Has America degenerated to the point that God will impose a famine upon it?

I have recently read Isaiah and Jeremiah. God judged Israel for its many sins. Is America exempt from similar treatment?

Will Americans experience a physical famine? There is a religious group that has stored food for such a catastrophe for many years. So far, no food shortage has affected their stash. In Revelations is a predicted shortage of food worldwide. Is that the time of famine for America as well?

One other thought, did the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others proclaim the message from the Lord with boldness or intimidation?

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I don't know whether this will happen in the US or not, but in my opinion we deserve it as much as any other place on Earth. This country is shot through with abominations to God People since the beginning of time did the same things. We constantly hear of horrible things in other countries, famine etc. Why not here is all I really ask. Dufrene is also right in saying those things need to be done, famine or not. I belong to another "christian" site and tons of christians I've known for 4 years "play" there everyday, play grab a** with eachother online. They are oblivious to what God is calling all christians to do. They are lukewarm but "defend" themselves by saying "christians" need to have fun too. There is no joy greater than serving the Lord. Their "play" is worldly. I prefer this site full of non-believers over a "christian" site full of "sleeping" christians.

Love to all, and see you tomorrow, God bless, denise

Denise, this is not an attack on you. I do want to comment on what the speaker that you quoted said.

Something that I noticed missing from her list was that people should do anything in this physical world to help those most likely to be affected by famine. She may have said that, but it was missing from the post.

I understand classics, you know how to disagree with something without bashing the bible. Please feel welcome here. Chrisitans that are following Christ, do store up a tenth or more of what they make, sometimes with the church, sometimes with the outreaches we see on tv, kids starving in Africa, wherever. The bible teaches us to care for widows and orphans(that is the bibles definition of religion, the word literally means that) The secular world defines religion differently.

To be honest, for me, it goes without saying, we help one another. Including ALL people. I know you don't believe as I do(christianity)but I ask that you try to see that my heart is to help folks here. I believe that the God of my understanding is real. I believe that folks need to know HIm so they can atleast have the opportunity to chose Him(His Way).

God bless you and I would share my shelter, food and clothing(ok)you might not look as good in my clothes,LOL, but I would share themwith you anyday I don't know if the faminine will come here or not. I believe the "plagues and the famines of the bible aren't just for other countries. After 911 and Katrina, it is plain to see we are not immune. Whether that's God or "nature" or man screwing with the atmosphere too much(my mom always said that, LOL), it does appear to be getting worse.

God bless your day! Denise

By the way, I don't think Im queen of the thread. I just wanted a place where people could talk without telling another their belief sucks. I won't stand for a christian doing it on my posts either. Trust me on that Gotta go work to finish a rental today. Be back sooner than later I hope denise

Good Morning Denise,

This country has been in a downward spiral (from a Christian point of view) ever since God was taken out of the school from something as simple as the pledge of allegiance. We as a people became individualized at that point and it has become a me, me , me society ever since. When I grew up we never locked our doors. Now people die in their homes from fires because they have bars on their windows trying to protect themselves. Society condones homosexuality, adultry and fornication. They try to make it sound better because it is a gay lifestyle, an affair and free love. I wonder when the Pledge was taken out of school and if our 40 yrs are up yet. God seems to like the number 40. If you read my post of The Law of Christ you would see that this country is no where close to His law of taking on the burdens of others. With gas prices the way they are, I am not sure if a famine would be caused by a lack of food or a lack of money to buy that food but I believe many more will start to go hungry. A loaf of cheep bread already up 33%, gas up 100%, wages... we we all know that one. People selling boats, big SUV's, foreclosures up, crime up... sad thing is that I think...

this is only the beginning...

You sure get attacked alot and I don't see anywhere in your post where you sound like a demon. Isn't it great that when you get attacked like that that you know you're saying something right. LOL You're a special man dana. Don't forget that and never, (NEVER) take what people say about what you post concerning the Lord, personal. They are attacking God, not you. God have mercy on them. Because God's mercy endureth forever.
God bless you always my friend,
Char

And Denise, I do believe this country is in for some really hard times because so many people have turned their backs on God. And yes, I see a faminie coming to this country. Seem like more and more people talk about tolerance and unity, but God didn't say that. He's not tolerant and he said He came to bring division. We, as christians are to be a separate people. A percuilar people.

And here is what God said He would do if we do this: 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called, by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

If There is a famine it would be created by this government and or the media.
first they impose gun laws that make it difficult to hunt your own food. Then they weaned Americans off of hunting to feed off of the supermarket instead.Soon they will make food so expensive the poor will rob to get food on the table.
