| In 1935 man invented nylon!
Being synthetic, there were no natural enemies for it nor was it part of the food chain.
So, god created a nylon eating bacteria, Flavobacterium, Sp. K172!!.

| errrrrr, well Dupont invented nylon, as a synthetic silk.
So, god, not to be outdone by man, created a nylon eating bacterium.
Simple, really...

| "How could an ALL knowing ALL powerful god ever be outdone by man? Did he not foresee the creation of Nylon? Did he not already know that it would be created? So why would it be so trivial to then AFTER it was create to create a bacterium that could eat it... Isn't the more logical conclusion that god had already created the bacterium, and that we never discovered it to AFTER nylon was create since it didn't have a purpose before then?"

| scorpio-, actually i don't know what they ate before they mutated...
bacteria have the ability to transmit genetic between them, so when one developed the ability to eat nylon, it not only could divide and produce other nylon eating bacteria, but all of the nylon eating bacteria could inject this new genetic trait directly into a passing buddy.....
of course that is only an observed, proven scientific theory as opposed to creation certitude!..

Mutating and creating life are two different concepts. So you initially claimed that god created these to specifically eat nylon. Now you’re claiming that existing bacteria simply mutated to have the ability to eat nylon... Your latter concept is nothing new, humans "mutated" to be able to consume another animal’s milk.
