1. NO never
2. Yes for Japan not Germany
3. Yes for Germany not Japan
4. Who cares about all those people killed

Should Japan & Germany be forgiven for WWII

For all you people who have been buying their cars
from earlier thru 1999.

Why forgive either of those two countries
and their Moron Leadership in the 1900's.

Do you think Israel and the Jewish people
now like the German people ?

Let's not let Bygones be Bygones.

Once the enemy always the enemy.

Bob

never could understand the concept of forgiveness. when somebody does me wrong and then asks my forgiveness i have only this to say. "thanks for realising the harm you've done. never do it again and we'll get along just fine."

a wife beater receives forgiveness from his abused life partner often with the explanation that if she would just stop making him so angry he wouldn't beat her. the next week he's asking her forgiveness once more as he drives her home from the emergency room.

somebody please explain to me the logic in forgiving germany and japan. they simply need to understand that they just can't do that stuff ever again.

BOB its history !!!! Move on as it is 2008 already . Yes I think America learned from history as did Japan and Germany. There are so many more relevant issues facing ALL 3 nations today that this post is irrelevant and frankly so are you BOB!!!!

America was not so innocent in the Bombing of pearl Harbor .
Many Americans only know history based on American history books .

Well Bob, since most everybody in both countries were not around or were little children at that time, still holding them responsible for their 'fathers' would be sorta like making your kids take the meds that you ought to be taking.

I am not certain about what direction Bob wants his thread to take, and I am equally uncertain to the appropriateness of the question as it is presented in today's era of global inter-action, and inter-personal associations with global-minded people. All three of our countries have experienced many changes since Hitler's first volume of "Mein Kampf" was published in 1925, and Japan's invasion of Manchuria in 1931. These events lead to U.S. military action against two separated empires. History questions if FDR's sanctions against Japan caused the first strike against us, and it also questions whether or not we should have taken the initiative to stop Hitler prior to his invasion of Prague.

As we move forward in time, those questions will forever linger unanswered to anyone's satisfaction. To forgive, or condemn either country today would be an exercise of arrogant presumption. The Japan, Germany, and United States of seventy years ago no longer exist. Those who had an opportunity to honestly answer today's question of forgiveness died a long time ago.......and that same question will remain unanswered.

Heck my Father was GOOD
So yea I'll hold the kids in those 2 Countries Responsible
unless those Countries want to Admit that their DADS were IDIOTS.
I never seen that happen.

I never heard any apology from those 2 countries
and my Dad never told me he received an Apology
so I guess there were NONE.

Your reponsible for Your Dad
and he's responsible for you
both until your both Dead.

The main reason that I started this Thread
because people started buying cars from these LOUSY nations
just shortly after WWII
and those Americans don't appear to be Heroes to me
supporting wacko countries only a few years after WWII.

These Americans make the statement:
Who cares about all those people killed
Their Dead and we can't do anything about it
but Yes you can
2000 is 55 years after 1945
(keeping them down for over a half century)
and maybe that was the time to start
mainly because America is shafting other Americans.

I've had the same issue with my last 2 cars
the Rotors getting warped really easily.
2002 Chevy Impala & 2008 Dodge Avenger.
I never had this issue with any previous auto.

So I'm not happy at the current time
with my last 2 American cars.

Bob

I agree totally with you.
I get upset at the stoopid on here.
If you only want attention, you act this way.
I have never seen any thread from "bob",
that was informational or even close
to being relevant.
Take care.

I think all countries involved realize the devastaton WW2 had on them. No one wins when there is a war. One look at war memorials, knowing how it effected my father, or watching the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier proved that to me.

Should the Romans be forgiven for brutalizing Europe, North Africa and Asia Minor for several hundreds of years and forcing a foreign religion on them?
Should Islam be forgiven for killing, raping and pillaging from India to the Atlantic for several hundreds of years in the name of 'God'?
Should the United States be forgiven for the near genocide they perpetrated on their native population?
The list goes on......

Japan as well as Germany are so different today than they were in the 1930's, it's ridiculous.
There's probably more neo-Nazis in California today than there is in all of Germany.
