| A New Jersey paralegal with a longstanding interest in government corruption filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department and the F.B.I. on Monday, seeking the release of the full case file on a murderous Brooklyn Mafia informant -- papers she believes may shed light on the possible involvement of a dead New Orleans crime boss in the killing of President John F. Kennedy.
The lawsuit, filed in Federal District Court in Washington by the paralegal, Angela Clemente, asks the Federal Bureau of Investigation to make public any documents it may still hold related to the mobster, Gregory Scarpa Sr., who for nearly 30 years led a stunning double life as a hit man for the Colombo crime family and, in the words of the F.B.I, a ''top echelon'' informant for the bureau.
In her suit, Ms. Clemente asked the bureau to release all papers connected to Mr. Scarpa (who died of AIDS in 1994 after receiving a blood transfusion), especially those related to Carlos Marcello, a New Orleans don suspected by some of having played a role in the Kennedy assassination on Nov. 22, 1963.
Ms. Clemente filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Mr. Scarpa's file in April, and the F.B.I. acknowledged her request in a letter on June 9, saying that bureau officials would search their records for relevant papers. Ms. Clemente's lawyer, James Lesar, said that the F.B.I. had not yet told her if it would release the file or not, but that under federal law, a lawsuit can be filed compelling the release of records 20 working days after such a letter is received.
She said the F.B.I. had fought her ''tooth and nail'' in her efforts to obtain the full Scarpa file for Mr. DeVecchio's trial. The F.B.I. did not return phone calls seeking comment on that allegation as well.
''And that,'' she said, ''is what really piqued my curiosity.''

| I would not say such a link does not exist, but after so many years, I don't know what difference it would make. I remember hearing about Scarpa who was always under FBI scrutiny. What is ironic is the source of his AIDS infection; his pride in heritage got the better of him. He insisted the blood must come from a close family member, and his nephew was the donor not knowing he had the diesease which was passed onto his uncle.

| I have seen so many of these things running around over the years. I have goten to the point of, just let it go. The truth is likely already gone from any documentation, so proving it would be next to impossible.
I'll say one thing on it though, that might be worth the thought. Of all the ideas I have heard the one thing least talked about, and has the most questions about it is, that just three days before he was killed, Kennedy signed the papers to remove the troops from Viet Nam. Then after his death, they (the orders of withdraw) never showed up again, and we esculated it into the war.

| My take on 1963 Kennedy Assassination:
Kennedy disagreed with the main body of people
that actually run America.
He was killed because someone just
stated he was withdrawing troops from Vietnam.
Vietnam was only about our Nation's ECONOMY.
A guy opened an umbrella in Dealy Plaza

he never came forward.
The autopsey of the President was handled
by a bumch of Idiots.
Case closed - Conspiracy.

| She will get the transcripts but most likely the FBI will black-out the information she desires. I wouldn't be surprised if down the road she finds her credit rating tampered with. Big brother doesn't play fair. Cobaltred41

| It would be interesting to know, even though it won't change history. I remember watching a youtube.com video of the secret service men who were supposed to ride on the back of the limo, being told to leave the vehicle just before he was assisnated. You can see from the video that the men were confused as to why they were called away, as they were supposed to protect him. Guess we will never know alot of things about that day.
