Look at your interest rates. If the interest rates of the debt are much higher than the interest rates on the investment, you're probably better to pay off the debt which keeps getting higher due to interest. Having said that, you do want to re-contribute to your retirement savings on a go forward as well. Also keep in mind any tax implications that may come with taking money from your retirement investments. I'm not sure about US tax laws, but here, when you put money in retirement funds there is a tax shelter and you are hit with income tax if you take the money out. Look into that prior to taking any money out of your investments.

As for Sunday....just getting a final few things together around the house and heading out to the Niagara area for "Canal Days" in Port Colborne, Ontario. Spending the day and night there. There's a whole bunch of celebrations going on including a midway, tall ships, birds of prey, shopping, concerts and fireworks. It's a long weekend for us here, so no work until Tuesday! YAY!!!

well Im sure your paying a higher interest rate on your car then what your gaining from your fund so withdrawn an amount that they wont penalize you and gget the car paid off then also treat yourself to something nice but not to much. Then watch the interest rates on short term CDs for a reinvestment. Or if your comfortable with it invest in the market

most of my investments in this account are in the market rith now and I don't owe lot on the car but that is 450.00 a month and right now that is really killing me If I could get rid of that monthly bill I would be sitting good and could save again that is what scares me not having a savings to fall back on. And Bert would you like a NICE gift
