you met someone and you liked everything about them. The only flaw is they are in need of dental work. Would you tell them, or move on or what?

if you can handle it, just go with the flow. If not, sorry.

Personally, I'm not that superficial.

I'm sure they realize they are in need of dental work. I would guess that they either do not have insurance to help cover the costs, or they are terrified of the dentist due to some poor experiences. It would not bother me, as long as I am fond of the real person inside.

I guess it would depend on how bad their teeth were, and do they have gums problems as well. It's not an easy thing to overlook. A person's smile is one of the first things we see. And, unfortunately if the teeth are real bad, that might well come along with some bad breath also. It's hard to french kiss someone with really bad teeth and bad breath as well. I couldn't do it myself. Sorry, I just don't know what I would do if I were you. Good luck!

I like the guy I am just wondering if later down the road if I would offend him if I offered to help pay for the dental work.

Such a small thing to deal with, tell them and help them correct it. If that is the only thing holding you back, maybe you should look at yourself and see why you object to him so much. Maybe a thing to you but very correctable to most people.

I think he is a really handsome guy and I think he holds back smiling because of his teeth. I want him to know it's ok and if he is really bothered by it I would help him pay for it (not Now but down the road).

Have you heard all the new commercials about not giving your child a drink after you or licking their pacifier if they drop it because you could pass on you own tooth decay to the child? If that is the case couldn't we get tooth decay from kissing? I have been married to two men with tooth problems and have had to spend some money on my own and I take good care of my teeth. It's just something to think about. I personally would not let it stop me if it was a really great guy, but later on I would bring the subject of fixing them up.

Look to your ownself first. Is the guy happy and comfortable with himself? Are you with your self? This could be a touchy subject. I am a retired fighter and my teeth have been split and fractured many times......still trying to allevieate the problem but, insurance only covers so much per fiscal quarter. I am happy with who i am though I am completely unhappy with my smile. I know that i am a good man and I make up for a couple busted teeth where I can. Do you want to be judged by the things that you can or perhaps can not control physically? Teeth, height, weight, shade of skin, religion, ......where do we draw the line and just ask..........Is this a good person?

well there are more serious issues than dental work ...... after all it can be taking care of. If the guy is a keeper, keep him, work things together, dental problems and whatever that can be fixed. Just my 2 cents, good man is a needle in hay stack these days.
