Labor Day Weekend marks the unofficial end of summer....
Question - what will you miss about summer? What will you not miss about summer?

I will miss the smell of flowers and freshly cut grass. I will not miss cutting the f---ing grass.

I'll miss the fact there is no traffic in the AM's and that the school zones were turned off.

I won't miss the damn Texas heat!

I will miss running through the sprinkler with the kids. I will miss the trips to the beach, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA. I will miss the sound of the A/C running

I won't miss all the dang bugs~!

Summer hasn't even arrived here and it's already over. Now that's sad.

I will miss less traffic because schools will be back in session.

I will miss the "little bit" slower paced life because I'll be back to running here, there and everywhere, again because schools will be back in session.

I will miss wearing less clothing because of the warmer weather. Love my shorts and tank tops.

I won't miss my house being messier because my boys will no longer be home all day.

I will not miss the last of the summer heat and whew-midity!

I welcome Autumn because it markes an end to Mother Nature's heavy handed summer. All the tree canopies are heavily burdened with dark green leaves that seem to overwhelm its branches. Shade is good, but Mother Nature's middle name must be 'overkill'. Throw in a few hurricanes and you get my drift.

Mother Nature tends to overdo just about everything. But I love Her for that very reason. I love Her excesses and in so doing I have to take Her good with Her bad.

Summer is simply too much heat with too little compassion for those of us who are obese and can't afford A.C. Also there is too much verdance. The leaves that shade me today will have to be raked up tomorrow.

Autumn is absolutely awesome as the leaves change color, but too much burdened with leaf raking.

Winter has too many gray days, no interesting holidays, too much cold, ice, and snow. And there is also that goddam groundhog who lies through his buck teeth every February 2nd as to when Spring will arrive. Gray days. Sun deprivation. Post holiday depression. No valentine for me for Valentine's Day. You could sell winter on eBay for all I care.

Ah, Sprng! My life, my heart, my soul and all the rest of the world comes back to life again! We get to live another summer. We might swelter through it, but we get to live it.

I guess every season has its good with its bad.

I don't know if I would be happier moving to a place like Florida that has only two seasons: nine months of steam bath and hurricanes followed by three months of snow birds.

I don't know if I would be happier moving to a placel like Maine that has nine months of winter and three months of piss poor sledding.

There has to be a middle ground. I hear that caves are comfortable year round. Maybe I'll go spelunking in my retirement and old age. LOL!

I will miss going to the ocean. I love the beach. I won't miss the oppressively hot summer days. I won't miss the mosquitos either. Autumn isn't so bad and kinda pretty with all the changing of the colors in the leaves of the trees and the start of football season. However, the days will be getting short and b/f you know it, we'll all be in the dead of Winter.

The things I will miss about going to the ocean the smell of the sea mist filling up your lungs, the taste of the sea water, swimming in the surf, taking a stroll along the beach and boardwalk, jumping waves, the sand between your toes, the sun caressing your face and watching the pretty women getting tan in their bikinis....LOL! Of course I don't miss getting sunburned, especially with my fair complexion since I burn too easy. I remember going to the Outer Banks, in NC several years ago. After taking a dip in the ocean, I took a nap on the beach for a couple of hours. Next thing you know it, I woke up with 2nd degree sunburn. I had blisters on my skin and it looked like I had been nuked. My skin burned so much that even taking a shower or putting on clothes was a problem. The sun is nothing to fool around with. It ruined my vacation...bummer! I normally like going to the Delaware Seashore and Ocean City, MD. I've been going their since I was little. They're nice places except for the traffic, congestion, and all the obscene developement. You can check out their web sites at www.thequietresorts.com and www.ococean.com. Of course what's a Summer without going to the beach? It's usually the fondest memories of Summer.
