| Born and raised in DEEEtroit - wanted to get small; moved to CO 30 years ago. It got too big: wanted to get small again, moved here and LOVE it! I miss the snow - oops, think I lied - actually what I miss is the dryness and NO rust! But that's about it. I was checking out TN for two years before I moved here and then found a house with the cows, horses, pygmy goats, burros and roosters. Saw a HUGE snapping turtle making it's way to the woods a few days ago - how cool is that?
So a Yankee is the TN bred people and the damn yankees are the ones who come and stay .....

| Boy, don't get me started... I am tired of being blamed for local people's short sighted-ness. This run up and panic on gas in the Knoxville area is just one more example of an incompetent business decision perpetrated by local businessmen who should be arrested and charged with in sighting panic. Their irresponsible business conduct should prove 2 things: it doesn't matter where you're from, they'll screw ya just the same or they are just ignorant, local businessmen who couldn’t see a hurricane coming on a map… I am proudly from Michigan and have lived here for 11 years. I tried for years to 'fit in' but always knew I was an outsider so I quit trying to fit in. What did Forrest Gump's mom say? ... "Stupid is as stupid does"... if the shoe fits wear it, but on the correct foot.

| I'm with you demandingman. I have had such trouble trying to fit in here. I went to my last year of school here,when I was 17. Then,& now everyone let me know that since I was not born here that I did not belong.To many rule's I have had to face as well. I actually got turned down for hanging towel's in bathroom's at the opryland hotel because the manager said men should'nt have long hair. My jewlery alway's offend's people too. I only wear one necklace,a watch,& an earring. I stopped wearing jewlery all together trying to not get teased by the older people. I'm not dogging on anyone's heritage,but I have never seen the beat in all my life.I can't even be myself here without someone who was born here telling me how I must be or I must get out.I'm treated like I came from a foreign country. I was born here too people. I'm just trying to get along like everyone else. Anyone else getting that treatment? It has made me want to leave here for that reason. I could ramble for hour's on that subject,but I digress. I came to date hookup to find someone who won't judge me on looking like a man who came here from Florida. Sure I look like a guy who like's the beach. I love my long blonde hair. Anyone got any question's or want to get in contact with me I'd love to hear from you. Thank's.

| I used to live in the true south. Th mason dixon line has gotten narror over time. This line is right below macon ga and goes to right about lake city fl. When I say true south, I mean people actually pull over and help when you are broke down. Neighbors being neighbors. There are to many yankees transplanting to the south.lol no hard feelings. lol
