| sometimes I think men are threatened by that. I feel that when you're independent You stay more focused on what you really want. Instead of just picking the first guy that comes along.

| I like them independent. When a woman is able to take care of herself and provide for herself it makes, for me anyway, for a more meaningful relationship. I know the she is there because she wants to be, not that she needs to be. “I don’t want somebody to need me, I need somebody to want me”

| If a guy can't appreciate an independent woman, it shows a lack of self confidence on his part. When a woman is self sufficient, and finds a man that is also in such a status, they can build a solid world on their own. No insecurities. Of course, there is always going to be certain things we women look to out men to do, like open those pickle jars, lol. Working as a team effort makes a much better relationship than all the pressure on the one, and the other having feelings of not measuring up, or having to take "attitude" since they are dependant on the other.

| I am independant but will admit that I am also needy. When I am in a relationship I am needy and can be very girlish.
