| Is there a chain of events, or protocol that women expect or want a male to follow in order for them to accept a date? It appears there is and an explanation would be helpfull. Thanks in advance

| Most men do not know how to ask a lady for a date. They either come on to strong or just fumble their way through. A lady wants to be treated honestly. Walk up to her ans just simply ask if she would like to have a cup of coffee with you. Tell her you though she is attractive and you have the time to spend time with her. Make her feel that you a sincere and not ready to have sex.

Wink
Hi
Blah, Blah Blah
Let's meet for breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.?
Should there be a life history in there some where?
Should there be a credit check?
Police report?
Tell me what you want?

| First of all....don't even mention anything that could possibly be construed *(is that spelled right) as sexual before a date...makes us think that's all you want....oh my gosh!!! that sux! JMO.... And ABSOLUTELY, be HONEST...y'all are clear as glass...some have smudges, but we'll eventually be able to see right thru you...hopefully sooner than not.

| Try flirting in the forums... once you think you found someone you might be compatible with, try winking, then you can email or IMs, then if you get past that you can move the the phone, then maybe meeting in real life... that is the really hard part!

| Ladyfireyes: OMG, I am winking at the Teddy Bear but not getting any response. I just want a hug. So why don't you come out from behind the Bear and let me see you smile?

| Suppose there was a guy on this site...someone who wasn't really what you were looking for in a date, but had been active and making positive contributions to the forums, had been reasonably friendly to you...suppose that person emailed you with a suggested activity that was something YOU would enjoy doing, just maybe not with that person...and suppose he even said "this isn't even a date, just as friends."
Would he be out of line?
And if not, would common courtesy dictate that at least SOME reply would be appropriate, even if it was just "That was a nice idea, but I don't think it would work out" ?
Strictly hypothetical, of course.

| Nopretense....No I would not think that was out of line and by all means it would deserve a reply. It's cyber-etiquettes, but that's just me.

| Of course it's not out of line, and I don't see any reason why I wouldn't meet up with someone on those terms (there's my naivete showing through). And, yes, I do think at least a courtesy reply would be appropriate.
Aguyhere, you're so cute, somebody's gonna snatch you up quick!

| Thank you Patty, that was sweet.
I'm not worried. And really, I'm not hurt, since I didn't have any intentions or expectations.
I just thought she had more class than that. Still think she does. Maybe just had a bad day or had something else on her mind.
