Would you give up the material things you now have or hope to have if it meant you would find the love of a lifetime and live happily ever after? I don't mean you'd be homeless but you would be scrapping just to get by. All the while you'd have the best relationship two people could wish for.
So what would you do?

I'm not that desperate to find love lol. But I suppose I'd be willing to make some changes.

Money can be made

love must be earned

Money: You can't take it with you, no matter how much you collect
Love: It can't be bought.

I've been to lonely funurals for rich men and large, energetic funerals for modest, loved men. In some ways a funeral is a definition of the man.

Love trumps money. Hands down.

I've had both. Money I'll make, but I don't pray for money when I lay down to sleep . . . I pray for love.

Bry

No, but luckily I don't have to. I'm high maintenance but can afford myself.

Nope.
Kate Beckinsale is loaded, so there is no need to.

I did just that.

My ex and I were living a very comfortable life. Had the big house with a built in pool and money in the bank....but no more love or any fun. I divorced him because I don't want to be able to say I can buy whatever I want! I want to say I love this man I'm with, with my whole heart and soul..and then I know I will be rich in love...which is most important to me, a hopeless romantic!!!

how much money we talking about here...

IMO money can buy happiness but not love

Some of the richest people have no money but are truely loved. SO to answer your question, i will ask one. Which way do you see yourself happy? Rich and alone or poor with her by your side?

That would depend on my mates attitude. When my first husband and I started out we struggled the first 5 years. We were so close and the love was so strong. We leaned on each other. We both made sacrifices of wants and needs to make ends meet. We both had positive attitudes that eventually things would get better and we laughed and cried through the hard times together. But with my 2nd husband OMG if things got a little tight man he would just go off the deep end, ill, cussing all the time, slamming things, just a horrible attitude. We never really had it hard so I would have hated to see him if we had really gotten down! So I would say yes I would struggle again with the right kind of mate...one that would work with me,draw close, let the love pull us through. Those together times are to be cherished.

For me, that's a no-brainer. Poor with her by my side. I am more than satisfied being by myself. However, there's no greater feeling I get than when I can serve the homeless at a food pantry just about every Saturday, or sit down with the homeless on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. A friend of mine said recently how much she would enjoy serving the homeless with me sometime. I said, "What a great attitude you have." While there's nothing wrong with having money or even a lot of it, I'd like to think that there's so much more to living life than money. Money can buy happiness and a lot of things, but money isn't everything. The best example I can give is here on DH, when everyone on DH is supposedly looking for true love.

I think its a matter of what you want in life and your priorities. My X married me for the green stuff, and when it became such an issue of greed and selfishness to her, I packed it all in and made her start contributing. Hense,, here I am folks,,!!

so the point is, some people will and some won't. You don't need to make a million, just have enough to keep it all real.
