| We're ALL pretty much on the rebound aren't we? Or we wouldn't be here. Just use caution and don't jump into anything you're gonna regret. Take your time and just have fun with others companionship. USE CAUTION is all I'm sayin.......

| I agree with her. Take it slow, if it is meant to be it will build itself into something great.....if not he will lose interest.

| Why would you want to date men on the rebound. I stayed away from men until they were out of a relationship or marriage for 2 years. Everyone needs help to heal and get in touch with who they are. But there are always exceptions to all rules

| To me the real question is what is rebound. is that coming or going....
If they are not sure if they want to go back to the wife and the 6 kids . Thats rebound to me.

| I'm not on the rebound. I have not had a true relationship since 04 and have moved on... although it all the strength and faith that I could muster.
I agree that there are many who are on the rebound and that rarely works. They must take the time to " find" themselves as an individual after being a couple for so long. Rebounds is a huge red flag and I will not make a step forward with them at that point.

| LOL Blu...
I just got back into the dating scene after being divorced almost 5 yrs.
It takes time to regroup. I didn't feel I had enough to offer a man. I had to find myself first and get on my feet, holding my head high again.
I want to go into a relationship without the hurts of the past, ready to support someone. Able to give my half to make a whole, just as I expect him to be emtionally ready.

| Even when I believed I had passed the "rebound" phase ...It was apparent that residues of old issues still exist creating insecurities in living with the love I found here. I thank God he is so very understanding of what Ive been through... I cant imagine it would work out if he or I were wrapped up in too many "old" issues...Just puts too much stress on the other person and in turn the relationship... We all need to feel total trust for a deep love to form and it is near impossible if youve not processed the emotional baggage of past... JMO

| I'm currently not dating anyone, but i am looking for a nice guy.
I guess that men and women alike are both guilty of seeing qualities of past lovers that have burned them in new lovers and immediately put up defensive barriers. And this recreates the "rebound" effect.
"It is harder for people to see new lovers in a fresh clean slate - as in they have never done anything wrong to anyone and will never think of even." people natural find it very easy to just tag everyone of the oppsit sex as being "leirs, cheaters and wackos etc" upon the first clue or sign that that person is anything but perfect.
I have 2 yrs college psychology under my belt (thus i'm a lousey speller) I am very patient with men and grasp for common sense behavioral treads, and logical explantions long before jumping to conclusions and appling accurations that don't have concrete evidence to suport it. but 90% of the time, Im out to have with the guy and usually not serious enough to consider thinking their cheating, lieing ect stuff. To me a relationship isn't serious til you have beening over a year.
