The morning dawns to greet you
With sunshine on your face,

Unlike all those before
when burdens so engulfed you

Some will hear your concepts
And some might just ignore you.
You know the road you traveled
To achieve this state of mind;
You seek that which restores you,
You know that you will find.
Though you rise above the fire
There's poison in the smoke.
At times you must go hunting
Lest you begin to choke.
The rice is growing wild there,
The air is much more clear;
It's where you find your solitude
You listen and you hear.
Who you are and what you'll be -
not yet clearly defined;
Things you see that others can’t
Gives vision to the blind
A gift unlike no other
You bless each path you cross
You do not heal, but light instead
The pathway of those lost
God chose you for good reason
To bear this toilsome bane
The Son, God’s light inside you
The Truth you share, God’s rain
And so you give it freely,
Yes God is pleased, indeed.

very special gifts and i dont know what to say actually. Never contemplated a birthday but this one i am. I got my life in a box today and that was very special too. dont think anyone gave me anything so thoughtful on my birthday - thanks from the bottom of my heart.
