I enjoy photography and am using a Kodak easyshare. It is an older model. What kind of camera does everyone else use?

What type of EasyShare do you use. I've got an old Z650. I like it because it has 10X zoom and you can add filters and other effects. I bought a CPL and am still trying to figure out how to best use it.

I am using the C310. It is my first digital but the zoom is not the best, co what I thought about doing is giving to my sons for there use (like field trips) and buying a new one but I don't know

One of the best is the new Cannon Wlamart has. It does alot of features the more expensive ones do. It cost more, but well worth it. And reminds me of the old Cannon Rebel 35 mm.....

I miss my Minolta X370, MF SLR. 50mm, 100mm-300mm, & 1.5 teleconverter.

Oh, the special f/x I could do with that camera!

I'd use a Bogen Stick or tripod. 400, 800 & 1600 speed films.

A gradiating polarizer.

Mine came with a black plastic ring which takes 55mm lenses. In addition to the CPL, I've got a 2X adapter (which makes the Z650 20X) and a rubber hood to keep out reflections. I got most of it pretty cheap on the internet. One thing about the CPL is that it cuts down on reflections and helps when taking pictures under water. If nothing else, get a cheap UV filter and use it to protect the lens without worrying about the lens cap.

[The 2X I got was too cheap, it only focuses the center of the shot. I think I paid $40 for it. The one Kodak sells is $150.]

People people people --- if u can't spell it u don't deserve it!! lol. j/k. But seriously, it's CANON not cannon.

I have a canon 20Dslr, but of course would love the newer 50d (give me more MP!), & use both wide angle & telephoto lenses. I also have a panasonic digital point n shoot dmc-fz18, which has a zoom range of 28-504 (film equivilent). I prefer my big gun, but it's heavy & cumbersome on hikes. If only i had a pack mule or alpaca or llama!!! lol. I OFTEN use my tripod or monopod when shooting, esp for closeups or zoomed out.

[CPL=Circular Polarizer]

I've had my polarizer for years & i struggled for a long time to learn how to effectively use it. I like to think i finally have it figured out. The tricky thing about circular polarizers is that u have to be at a 90 degree angle to the sun. Look to see if urs has a white line on the side edge of the filter, then make a note of it's position to figure out when it's "on" or not (it's easiest to tell when shooting near water, say water falling on rocks --- u can tell when it's "on" by the lack of reflection of the water on wet rocks). Then, once u know ur "on" position, use it on cloudy days to photograph flowers --- a polarizer can help saturate the colors. U should know the "on" position for both horizontal & vertical shooting.

I also use mine when shooting into water, to minimize reflections, as when i'm trying to photograph a tadpole, a fish, or some object under water. If, however, u want to emphasize reflections on the water's surface, u want ur polarizer in the "off" position. This is also true when shooting into/thru windows.

I also use the polarizer to bring out the blue in the sky.

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd. I love the 10MP and the 12x zoom. I love taking photographs, but really have no idea about the technical stuff.

I had a Kodak EasyShare, but gave it to my mom. I didn't like the pictures it took inside. They would come out looking grainy.

I think that depends on what I'm taking a photo of. I have several different cameras that I use:

Canon G5 (I use this as my PAS camera for family events and just hanging out with friends)

Pentax K100 with assorted lenses (because I just can't give up film and my firm belief if you plan on being a photographer learning black and white techniques in the darkroom is a must and will improve your photography tremendously)

Kodak Brownie (I love this camera for fun, yes it's a pain to have to switch the 220 film onto the 260 roll but it's so worth it)

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with assorted lenses (this is my digital camera though I'm looking into getting a new one I have to say that this little camera that I got slightly used has been a god send to my photography)

Holga (yes, it is considered a "toy" camera but with a little electrical tape to block out the light the images are phenomenal and I just can't give it up - I own about 10 of these suckers but I keep taking them apart to get different effects, but hey, they're cheap and a lot of fun to play with!)

I use a Canon a530 Powershot and a Nikon Coolpix S-550 - the Coolpix is slightly larger than a cellphone, takes great pictures, has 4X optical zoom (equivalent to a 200mm zoom) and about 3 times the features available on the Canon. It takes good video as well, but its one limitation is the rechargeable battery. The Canon uses 2 AA batteries, so I can always get more.... I'm not sure if either camera is still in production, I've had both about 2 years

I'm a professional photographer who hates photography, go figure.

I shoot with a Nikon. I use to shoot with a Canon until some assburger stole it. After that happened I figured I'd try out Nikon for a bit. Honestly, I prefer Canon.

I've got 4 cameras, an Olympus e20n, two Sony DSC-f828s, and a Panasonic dmc-fz20. I can shoot with just about anything, and would prefer to upgrade my equipment. I've been eyeing the Leica D-lux 4.

I have an OLD canon Ftb circa 1973--it is in current need of new gaskets and foam pieces, seals and etc, but not expensive to fix; I have a Fuji AF that is in need of a lot more repairs, and my current camera is my first digital, a Rebel XT.

I picked up the coolest lens from 47th Street Photo--they have an eBay store and I got this 420mm-800mm zoom w/ 2x multiplier for a mere $169.

I use a tripod that supports from the lens rather than under the camera, so the thing doesn't porpose up and down every time I try to clic the shutter-mechanism. I use it mostly w/o the 2x, and I get some great shots with it--really great stuff!

I have a dot/com at mobjackbayrelics, w/ link to my kiteboard and surfing pics at bottom of page--can't miss the link. Check out what this 420mm-800mm lens really can do!

THIS LENS IS THE BOMB!

OMG! My very first camera wa a brownie--I had such a time, all of 8 years old, trying to compensate for paralax to shoot what I wanted w/o cropping off heads, etc.

You sound like quite the experienced photo-bug--I hope you'll take it far and wide professionally! Can you post some of your work? I'd love to see...please????
