| Maybe they are not compute savy. I know that I had to have one of my kids show me how to download a photo. But before that I had to get some on a disc first. SO I had a photographer take some for me. It may not be that they dont want to post a photo. It may be that they dont know how. After having the internet for a few years now I am getting better at it. But there are still a lot of things I dont know how to do on this thing.   So I chill out for a while and then try again. But still there are some things I just cant seem to get on this stupid thing. At times I feel like  . So I wait till another time and try again. That is just one mans opinion.

The funny part is the picture I have now I was goofing off with a little tiny camera and I LIKED the pictures, I think it's a good one of me and shows off the fact I have a quirky sense of humor.
It kept one guy away who I think would be a jerk. He told me with my picture I would never find or date a man, take it down and I was freeke.
I told him I was looking for someone with a sense of humor and with his attitude he wasn't it and by the way it's spelled "freaky"....he emailed back "you're sick".
Not as sick as someone is who can't laugh...that person's just sad.

| I agree, looks don't matter, it's the insides that count. Looks are just icing on a cake, you have have beautiful looking icing on a very bad cake just like you can have not so hot icing on a wonderful cake.
I just wanna see who I'm talking to, that's all. That's why I look at the pictures. If they are close and I see something I like (which could even be the background, it don't have to be the guy and how he looks, it could be an attitude) I'll look at him.

I agree with lachtna. I don't think I take good pictures either. It seems that men who look at your profile or wink don't have a picture. I'm not a shallow person but I do think there has to be a mutual attraction. I like to see who I'm talking to also!!! Don't listen to the jerk lachtna  I think you're fine just the way you are.

If I did I wouldn't have added in my profile "First of all laugh people, laugh at yourself, laugh at life. The picture is there for a reason...I want someone with a sense of humor...get it?" and left the picture just where it was.
If I listened to everyone that told me I was different or weird, strange or just bizarre I would have holed myself up in my room when I was young and no one would have met me.
I look at it this way...that guy missed out on a very loyal, sweet, kind and loving person, it sucks to be him.

I remember watching this forensic files and this guy killed his wife and after he was arrested and the autopsy was done it was found out his wife had BAD cancer and would have probably been dead in a few months. So, the guy goes to jail for murder...karma's a b*tch.
Hang in there girl, ignore the stupid idiots. There are good guys out there. All we have to do is throw out the rotten ones.

| As mentioned it could be various reasons, One no camera, then they may not like there photo taken or as myself I am not photogenic at all. I only post a pic for the soul purpose of being polite and yes they are accurate but then thats not who I am it's only an image of who I am. But there are many reasons why photos are posted some tent to want to be someone they are not on the internet and with a photo it shows who they are or look like, I think mostly its either they are married or involved or the lack of know how of posting a photo of themselves. Same goes for women as well

I've always been one to hide behind the camera and I'm just now getting comfortable in my own skin.

Actually, in my case, when I signed up for DH I didn't have a camera handy. I did take a couple of off-the-cuff shots with a picturephone, email them to myself, download them from my mail server, then upload them to DH... Whew... A lot of work for a couple of poorly lighted, grainy photos shot in a hotel room... I think the results were so horrid it scared off too many right from the get-go. I think one needs to take the time to get a decent shot. DH needs to allow for bigger, higher resolution photos too. Postage stamp sized fuzzy itsy-bitsy pictures are really bad... Getting a decent shot can take someone who needs to work for a living and has other responsibilities than keeping a computer company a few days...
