| Christianity is the primary prostolatizing one so only Christians and those who question tend to banter here. Wait, that's a logical answer. My Bad.

I wouldn’t mind that. I think Christianity often comes up because a large portion of the membership here is living in the United States. It is my understanding that there is a far greater percentage of non-religious people living in Canada but I could be wrong. I would have to look at stats. I know many European nations are predominately secular.
There is also another "group" designated as "other religions."

I do not have a religion
I do not have belief or faith in religion
I do want to start stuff for the purpose of gaining some new knowledge
I plead guilty on some fear of commitment
I do not fear damnation as I do not believe I have done anything wrong in this world that would merit such severe punishment in some unseen afterlife

What about the unforseen aforelife, life, afterlife. the flesh will return to dust from where it came and the soul will return to God. You are breathing or are you not.
I don't fear damnation either, as I feel I have done the right thing in this life, and it merits life eternal, where there will be no more tears, no sorrow, no pain.

| Growing up Catholic in the late 50's and early 60's, I thought that it was the only religion... these people called (back then) Protestants were all going to Hell. Ii knew nothing of Jews let alone any other kind or spiritual belief. My awaking came in New York City, one morning in 1981. A news vendor greeted me with 'namaste, sahib', and that led me to my ongoing search for spiritual truth. I don't grudge Christians thier right to believe what they do; this is America. But talking about religion means talking about all religions, not just one. Excluding the many for the one smacks too much of radical fundamentalism, and emoticons of smiley faces firing AK-47's is too close to the Taliban for me.

| Ask Billy Graham. Isn't he the modern day Pope for the leaders of the USA? He has been the advisors through all the race riots of the sixties up to the illegal war on Iraq. Isn't he your countrie's hero? If not how come he is so popular with all the Presidents either Republican or Democrat?
He hasn't yet stood up for what even the secular world sees as justice - get on his case. At least he is here to defend his decisions.

Or maybe what makes Christianity different from other religions.
Daisetz Suzuki, the Japanese expositor of Zen Buddhism and its culture, in considering the Judeo-Christian tradition, said something at an Eranos Conference in 1953 that Campbell would repeat the rest of his life. “Let’s see,” he said drolly, rubbing his sides in a peculiar fashion, “Nature against Man, Man against Nature; God against Man, Man against God; God against Nature, Nature against God; very funny religion!”

| I believe that some have tried, haven't they? Thinkin' 'bout Ourself, who is Buddhist, and has a wonderful take....and another fella who tried to speak about Levay and ooooo boy....
Good question Never. It seems that folks here only want to hear about how Christianity is the only true religion, and nothing else. Pretty hard to discuss beliefs in that context.
Cheers, Raven

| It depends on what type of forum you are on as to how they decide to separate the religious categories. I was on another site and they had it set up as "General Religion" which was essentially open to ANYONE of any belief system. But then they also had like this website "other Religions" for those that are "less common" as they described them in the header. So that would include anything outside of the three Mediterranean derived "super religions" of Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

I'm glad u decided to visit us of the light, what made u decide to visit??? Love n Christ Njesushandz
To give my opinion of the question at hand, I believe because Jesus is the savior of the world the devil doesnt have to get rid of any other religion he already has them they are of no threat. Christians rule over the enemy if they understand who they are and can spread christ love among the world and that is the last thing the prince of this world wants just like when the world crucified Jesus, it will always try to exalt itself over the knowledge of Christ, but unfortunatly the battle is already won. Jesus defeated death on the cross. Njesushandz
