| i was talking about people stealing stuff and things like that when they are coke or crack heads. not weed.
i wont defend using weed as good or acceptable because i know people will be like oh your a druggy or something like that.

| Well, this might be the wrong thread for my first contribution in these forums, but I feel I gotta do what I gots' ta do.
This goes out to the more self-righteous among us. It appears to me that maybe some could benefit from a little perspective in your safe little comfy otherwise boring lives. Dignity can come in many forms but I have yet to see it championing itself for inclusion to any part of the drug culture. (Well, maybe Scarface, but that goes without saying.)
Simply put, people come to know, one way or another, the difference between right and wrong whether they care to admit it or not. Don't mistake that to mean there aren't plenty of delusional people out there, but i think even they come to realize this sooner or later. Sometimes, it's whatever gets you through the day.
I consider myself to be an upbeat, happy person, and I can remember many a time when touring in a cramped van, not enough money for gas, let alone for a place to sleep or food for that matter, that were also some of the happiest times with the most laughter in my life. I can remember times trying to sleep smelling stank feet, farts and God knows what else.(Those WERE just pillows, right??) And while being some of the happiest, I promise you this; at times there weren't enough drugs in existence let alone what i was presently holding.
Are you gonna tell that 20yr old Nebraska kid walking point in Iraq up seemingly deserted streets or the one busting first through that door at Abids' joint that he's lacking dignity for wanting something, anything that might offer a "nip for courage" perceived or otherwise? I bet that same kid would shoot up your entire family on his way to the bedroom at your mamma's house,(same room you currently reside in) if he thought there might be something there to help him achieve this. I say lock and load to that kid, Dignity Approved!!
I don't mean to be cruel, but maybe you need to get out into the world a bit more. For Gods' sake, smoke a joint or something. What's the worst that could happen? You get pulled over for going too slow? (true story), or you go on a rampage versus an unsuspecting bag of Cheetos? I realize my views on such lean more towards the liberal side of life but jeesh, live a little.
As for the coke, I think nowadays that is best left for the kiddies. For a real dance with the devil it's the crank one should be mindful of. I thank God that that wasn't around during my "formative" years.

| I agree asbouitweed,but we need to get rid of these coke and heroin dealers.I'm starting to believe the law is inadiquit these days and it is up to the people to do something.I say support the vigilanti's that take t5hat kind of scum off our streets.We need guys like frank castle.

| when you are doing drugs you arent living life you are avoiding it drugs dont make life any better as soon as you come off your high though all the probles are still thare and probably more so you do more drugs and it just gets worse i say shoot all the drug dealers

| arries i am glad to hear that, unfortunately i cant say that i havent at least tried pot any more but i was in my 30s when i tried it and i tried it for a short time but i couldnt figure out what everyone was saying that it was so good it didnt do anything for me just a big waiste of money as far as i could tell

I know its abundant anywhere you go...but it is a choice..
I never judged anyone for taking and appreciated it when they didnt judge me by not taking any.

There have been many famous, creative and productive people who have been cocaine addicts...Stephen King, Dr. Sigmund Freud, Robert Louis Stevenson, many politicians, doctors, musicians, artists and hos. Most have gone or will go to hell.
Judge not less ye might have you ass kicked by a crackhead. On the other hand, if you're job is to judge, like uh like being a judge, well then, your honor, lock 'em away for life.
Personally a martini now and then does it for me.

| Well mred, though i used this same reasoning in the first of my examples (more for an inside joke reminiscence than anything else), but escapism isn't the only reason people use.
I guess that you are right, but ultimately it all boils down to the "whys", especially if they're done for experimental, awareness-inducing reasons.
I personally try and take the "judge not,...." type reasoning concerning this, and I have yet to go wrong, nor have I been unjustly villainized.

The only place I'm aware of, and I may be wrong, is the Netherlands where you can legally buy weed as long as it's for personal consumption and not for re-sale, and I don't even think you can legally leave these cafe's with it in your possession. They have places similar to US coffee shops catering to those that are looking for it, and have menu's not unlike those of McDonalds complete with pictures for even the most written word challenged to choose from. (you know what I'm referring to sandbagger, those goddamn potheads.)
There are other countries though where the authorities look away irregardless of the actual laws concerning such Hell-fire retributionals, Canada being the most obvious I can think of. Google the weed scene in Vancouver sometime. Though still silly Canadians, at least those people retain the ability to think.
Believe it or not, I started my voting life as a staunch Republican. lol.

| in england weed is classified as a class c drug which basically means if you have it the cops cant fine you or arrest you for it.
